It’s forecast to rain at 2pm tomorrow (Tues 28th Sept) so I have reserved an indoor venue at St Clements, the Youth Centre round the back. But I have to pay for the room if I take it so I’ll need at least 4 people on Tues. So Please let us know definitely if you are coming as I’ll have to let the Church know by tomorrow morning if I’m taking the room. Just text 07572 533 231 to reserve your place

Our workshop at the Manchester Buddhist Centre gardens went really well... here are 3 of the things people who came said about the workshop....
I thought the workshop was a lot of fun. The hour went very quickly - lovely music, fabulous teachers, no pressure just pure enjoyment of moving to music. I hope you find a venue for more sessions.

I really enjoyed the workshop - it went at a good pace, not too fast or too serious, good fun

Ah thank you - my friend and i had a really lovely afternoon! this dancing will be great for our posture and balance! and such a lovely friendly group makes it a joy to attend! the music was lovely too! keep it going!

Fabulous testimonial from one of our ZOOM students - "When I began this journey as Jan and Nikkis' hula student, never did I imagine I'd become so vested in studying this beautiful art form with them!

Here I am, coming up on a year...what I initially embarked upon on a whim has now become a standing priority for me. Especially during these isolating times, it's been so important for me to stay connected to this social circle which Jan and Nikki have nurtured virtually over ZOOM. It is something I value and very much look forward to every week, as I can always count on my close-knit hula family to brighten even the gloomiest of days. It's a real mood booster!

Hula with Jan and Nikki has been beneficial for me on so many more levels. It goes without saying how the movement and exercise in hula keeps me healthy, nimble and young! It is a full body workout (do not underestimate how cardio-intensive it can be!), and I have found that especially my core and back, as well as my lower extremities and joints have all become increasingly stronger over time from taking these classes. Even on those days when I am low on energy, I'm always motivated to join class because I know that without fail, by the end of class I will have less pain, more energy and better mobility. It's like magic!

On top of the physical health benefits, I've no doubt that learning hula dance choreography is great exercise for my brain, because so many different parts of my body have to learn to move independently at the same time, all while looking graceful and listening to the music! And as my hula skills improve, I am enjoying experiencing hula on an artistic level. Jan's classes allow us a safe, supportive and encouraging environment in which to practice self-expression through movement, which has really boosted my self-confidence.

It would be hard to find another all-in-one activity that provides so many benefits that also happens to be pure loads of fun! I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue my hula journey with Jan and Nikki. " Sandy
