If teens learn one tool for navigating change, let it be their breath.
The breath is a powerful bridge between body and mind. When we feel overwhelmed, distracted, or anxious, our breathing patterns often change. By intentionally slowing and deepening the breath, we can send signals of safety and support to the nervous system.
During times of transition, itโs natural to feel scattered, overwhelmed, or unsettled. Simple breath practices (pranayama) offer a gentle way to pause, ground, and support the nervous system.
Pranayama does not need to be complicated. A few minutes of mindful breathing, practised consistently, can become a familiar anchor students can return to whenever they need support.
