in 1960, we are a Dorset based dance school offering RAD Ballet, NATD National Tap, Modern Stage, Contemporary and Musical Theatre for Boys and girls from 3 years of age in a fun filled learning environment. Academy of Dance (Established in 1960 by founder and former Principal Norma Fraser) delivers first class training through structured teaching and positive encouragement in a fun filled learning environment that is proven to motivate and encourage your children throughout the examination process and beyond. The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) are the back-bone of our school, their internationally recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments, coupled with their worldwide reputation sets us apart from other schools. 💫 A new chapter begins! 💫

After 13 wonderful years at Portfield Hall, we’ve packed up our things and said a very fond farewell to the place that has been home to so many happy memories, friendships, and rehearsals. 💕🩰 But don’t worry… we’re not going far! We’re so excited to be moving to our new venue at Burton Community Hall. 🎉

From Saturday 19 September, our classes in Ballet, Musical Theatre and Tap will begin at our new home! 🩰🎭👞

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey at Portfield Hall over the past 13 years. We can’t wait to continue dancing, performing and creating even more wonderful memories together in our new venue. ❤️
