We’ll be emailing Golf Season Ticket Members tomorrow with important information about using the Aspire Health app to manage golf bookings and member accounts.

The app offers a new, easier way for members to handle bookings online, and we’ll be sharing everything you need to get started straight to your inbox.

ℹ️ Please note:
Access to the Aspire Health app for golf bookings is currently exclusive to Season Ticket Members only. Pay & Play users should continue to contact the Pro Shop directly for available tee times.

🚨 Buggy Use Update – Important Notice 🚨

Due to current ground conditions and to help protect the course as we head into winter, buggies are currently only available for Blue Badge holders, and only single-seat buggies are permitted.

Reviews will take place daily/weekly, and we’ll keep you updated.

Blue Badge holders are kindly asked to:
➡ Keep buggies off the fairways
➡ Avoid areas near greens and tee boxes

Course staff will be monitoring buggy use. If guidelines aren’t followed, buggy access may be withdrawn to safeguard the course.

Customer update ⛳

City of Wakefield Golf Course is temporarily closed. We appreciate your patience and will share updates when appropriate.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the condition of the greens recently. We acknowledge they have not been up to our usual high standards. This has been due to a number of external factors, including ongoing issues with the irrigation system, combined with the prolonged period of warm, dry weather.

The good news is that the irrigation system is now operational. This week, our maintenance plan is as follows:

Tuesday: We will be applying a fertiliser treatment to all greens.

With the irrigation now running effectively and the forecast for continued warm temperatures, we anticipate a strong and healthy response from the turf.

We aim to resume cutting towards the end of the week to help further improve the playing surface.

Additionally, the greens mowers have recently been serviced, with all cutting units currently being professionally sharpened. This will allow the team to achieve a much cleaner, more consistent cut moving forward.

Providing everything goes to plan, we expect the greens to show significant improvement by the weekend / into early next week.
