URGENT NOTIFICATION FROM WSFA.
On no account should anyone be asked for and pay subs for any WSFA activity at U10 age group level.
Whereas we are starting to look at the possibility of running a WSFA U10 squad, we shall first have to consult with NGO the English Schools FA which is not set up for U10 football, then appropriate manager/coaches (2/3) need to be appointed (and registered with the NGO) who understand the conditions on which District Schools operate, then schools and others will be invited to nominate players for trials and selection for a squad, parental subs will be set, following which we shall set about building an informal friendly fixture list. This is all a time-consuming job which we are not yet committed to. Everyone will be updated if/as we move forward at this level . All is fully established and proceding well at WSFA U11/12/13/14 levels.

A quick run- reminder of the status and operation of Wakefield Schools F.A (WSFA).
Our Association is a member of the English Schools F.A. which is the National Governing Body of schools football in England and Wales. We operate teams representative of all schools, Independent, Faith and State Funded situated in the zone controlled by Wakefield Metropolitan District Council.
We run only at Under 11/12/13/14 and 15 levels, for both boys and girls, as far as interest goes. We play in the league and cup competitions organised by the Yorkshire Federation of Schools Football Associations. All our administrators and team coaching/management staff are volunteers and receive neither stipend nor personal expenses.
We are funded by parental contribution boosted by sponsorship and occasional minor fund raising exercises..Parental contributions are kept within the approximate range £200-£300 per annum.
We do not run the WMDC Schools tournaments, leagues and cups but are involved in them for purposes such as the recruitment of trialists for our representative teams - for which all schools have a share of ownership.
We view all local clubs and coaching organisations as colleagues. In particular as far as the latter are concerned the independent Wakefield Schoolboys (WSB) organisation and the new "Back of the Net" coaching academy being set up in the Flanshaw area, both of which may act as pathways to our WSFA sides.
We always do what we can to help all WMDC junior football clubs looking to recruit players and/or staff.

Yesterday, we celebrated Coach Alyce, and today, the spotlight is firmly on her incredible athletes and their massive success at the Yorkshire Athletics Championships! 💥

Together with Alyce, this unstoppable crew walked away with 10 MEDALS and a whole stack of huge new PBs! 🏆✨
