West Yorkshire Martial Arts College

So today we had the team out at the NSKA North West open. We took 10 fighters and for a few it was their first time out!

I could literally say something positive about each and every one of you but today I’m gonna shout out our newest members to fighting….Bogdan and Diego 1st time out and George’s 2nd time out and they were all amazing. Listened well kept pushing forward and did themselves and club proud.

For Megan it was her second time out and she had a really tough section fighting girls way more experienced and stronger than her but she stood her ground and came away with bronze. We are all so so proud of you!

We took 10 fighters and we came away with

Thankyou to our coaching team today Jacqui 'jax' Egan and Rebecca Frankowiak between us we had everyone ready when they needed to be and coached the whole team through their matches. We defo make a good team.

Massive well done to Callum O'Grady we had the pleasure to corner/coach him Saturday night at a boxing event in Wakefield.

Only just joined the Gym worked super hard all week and came away with a 2nd round stoppage well done.

Callum had this fight all booked in prior so all this is your hard work.

What an absolute awesome day at the Revs. The team were on it today. Some results we didn’t get but we don’t loose we learn and improve for the next one.

Quiet Class tonight as loads off with sickness bug however the class was superb.

Weight Circuit to start followed by points drills on pads then sparring to finish. Big well done to George tonight on your sparring you did so well and a gave the others some tough rounds.

Packed session tonight very faced paced and very competitive in drills and sparring which was great to see. Worked drills focused on attacking kicks and then going over the leg aggressively.

Finished with some solid rounds of sparring well done everyone.
