A mix of Thornes Juniors u11 girls and 3 u12s girls (who have been playing up in our u13 Girls team) represented us in the u12 girls gala at Ossett Town yesterday.
Having never played together and only meeting each other today, the girls all performed brilliantly and reached the final, only losing on penalties.
The girls all put in a great effort and played some very good football against some very big teams. The u11’s all made a huge step up a year as well. It wasn’t a nice way to lose any match but they did wonders to get to the final! Only 2 goals conceded in 7 matching shows how great they all were.
Thanks @Hayden Fox and @Gav Simpkins for your support today. Even bigger thanks to the u11 girls who were all very impressive!

Do not be tempted to enter open water to cool down.
Even in high summer, waters across the UK remain cold enough to trigger cold shock. This can cause rapid breathing and reduced muscle control, making it much harder to swim safely.
Stay Safe. And, if you see someone in trouble in the water, make the right call - call 999! 📲
