So you want to lose weight and get into the new year new me spirit, but where do you start? 🤯
.
Well here’s my 3 top tip for starting a HEALTHY weight loss phase and getting you going in the right direction 🏃🏻♂️💨
.
1. DON’T cut out a food source!.. you see and hear loads of people say “I’ll cut out carbs that’ll drop the weight” sounds familiar??
The problem is your body needs that fuel source to do the activity, exercise and just generally well living 🤦🏻♂️ For the general person cutting out a food source like carbs isn’t the best way or the most sustainable way to lose weight, you’ll find yourself burning out, being tired and not being able to perform in the gym very well either… after all it is your main source of energy! 🥔❤️
2. Drink plenty of fluids (water)… water makes up to 80% of the adult human body so it’s pretty damn important to drink the stuff!💦
Not drinking enough water can actually make you retain water too, holding onto excess water weight, leaving you feeling bloated and “puffy”. Try to drink around 2-3litres of water per day and this can be with dilute juice etc too to flavour it 💧🥤
3. Set yourself simple goals and tasks… this can be an activity goal such as steps or a set time for exercise 🚶🏃🏻♂️
Getting 10,000 steps per day burns around 500 calories and the science tells us that if you reduce your calories by 500 or expend 500 per day you should lose around 1LB per week. Daily activity such as walking should make up around 70-80% of your day, adding a quick 20 minute workout and you could bump that calorie burn up in no time 🔥 ⏰

The progress isn’t just what you see though Ben has changed massively in and out of the gym so far and this is truly great to be a part of

He showed grit in the lockdowns and knuckled down when it was needed to stay focused get lean and be in a great position to add muscle (just what we’re doing now) 💪🏼
