2nd XI Match Report

Vs. Undercliffe (H)

The 2nds welcomed champions Undercliffe to Bragg Lane End for the final game of the season. Bowling first, the young Wrens attack battled hard against a strong team. Joshua Foreman 2-39 MCS Air Conditioning impressed as well as Charlie Holden 2-21 Garden Gate Bakery. Further wickets were spread around the team as the runs flowed. Undercliffe finishing 262/9.

The reply for the Wrens did not go well with only Charlie Holden 21 hitting double figures in the face of some good bowling. The Wrens finished 53 all out ending the season with a big loss but plenty to learn from going forward.

The final game of the season saw the 1sts travel to Heckmondwike. Bowling first, Zain Ali struck twice early taking 2-13. The Wrens chipped away with wickets at the other end before Adam Iyer 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan Leeds Wakefield Nicola came into the attack and picked up 4-52. Heckmondwike finishing 281 all out.

In reply, the Wrens got off to a bad start and found themselves 23-4 before Alfie Holden 22 Garden Gate Bakery and Kush Chaturvedi 39 Tillybods Artisan Sandwich Maker & Coffee Bar combined to settle things down. They were backed up lower order runs from Karam Padam 55 Football World Leeds and Skipper Harvey Anderson Vantage Toyota Wakefield 30 but the Wrens had too much to do and eventually finished 195 all out.
