As mums, we're often told to exercise to lose weight, get our body back, or fit into old clothes.
But one of the biggest reasons to strength train is much simpler:
To stay strong enough to keep up with the people who need us.
A recent UK study found that just 90–120 minutes of strength training per week was linked to a lower risk of early death and a lower risk of cardiovascular and neurological disease.
That's not about getting a six-pack.
It's about being able to carry your toddler, lift the buggy into the car, run around the park, move furniture, carry the shopping, and still have energy left at the end of the day.
It's about protecting your muscles, bone density, and independence as you get older.
Because the goal isn't just to live longer.
It's to stay strong, capable, and healthy for the people you love.
Two short strength sessions a week can make a real difference.
If you've been putting strength training off because you don't know where to start, send me a message.

The amount of mums waiting to “feel motivated” before they start looking after themselves is wild.
Motivation is unreliable.
No mum wakes up every day feeling excited to train after broken sleep, school runs, tantrums, endless washing, and carrying the mental load for everyone in the house.
The secret isn’t motivation.
It’s building routines that still work when life feels chaotic.
That’s why I’ll always coach mums to stop chasing perfection and start building consistency instead.
Because you do NOT need to train 6 days a week, meal prep like a bodybuilder, or have your s**t together 24/7 to make progress.
You just need realistic habits you can stick to in real life.
And real life as a mum is messy as f**k sometimes!

Kelly 🩵
Me and Kelly have been working together for over a year now, and I feel very lucky she chose me. We chat about all sorts, work, how hard being a Mum can be, and lots of wonderful witchy things! Kelly is that amazing that she even bought me some gifts as a little self care package when she knew I was actually struggling with some things (because yes, I'm human too!). Thank you, Kelly, for being such an amazing client and friend! 🫶🏻

Amber 🩵
I've been working with Amber since September, and I'm always in awe of her. She always turns up with a smile on her face and a can-do attitude. She has pushed herself and shown just how strong she is, both physically and mentally.
What a privilege it is to work with her!

In an ideal world, we’d all meal prep on a Sunday, batch cook, or have the energy to cook from scratch every night. But for many of us, that’s just not reality, and that’s okay.
Some days, life is too busy to cook. You don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to eat well. A microwave meal can be quick, convenient, and still nutritious, especially if you choose ones that are high in protein and calorie-conscious. They keep you fuller for longer and give your body the fuel it needs.
Convenience is sometimes what we need, especially if it stops you from either skipping a meal or snacking. You have to do what works for you.
If you want practical strategies to make healthy eating easier and fit into a busy life, my Not Just Mum Mind Reset shows you how to build habits that stick, even when time is tight.
