The amount of mums waiting to “feel motivated” before they start looking after themselves is wild.
Motivation is unreliable.
No mum wakes up every day feeling excited to train after broken sleep, school runs, tantrums, endless washing, and carrying the mental load for everyone in the house.
The secret isn’t motivation.
It’s building routines that still work when life feels chaotic.
That’s why I’ll always coach mums to stop chasing perfection and start building consistency instead.
Because you do NOT need to train 6 days a week, meal prep like a bodybuilder, or have your s**t together 24/7 to make progress.
You just need realistic habits you can stick to in real life.
And real life as a mum is messy as f**k sometimes!

Wow! That was a sweaty one!
It's half term this week, so today's Strong Mothers class was one big family sesh. Older kids welcome, because that's what this is about, making exercise for accessible to mums. Meaning they don't have to worry about childcare, and they don't have to give up that little bit of time they have for themselves.
The big kids helped with the babies, and I got plenty of cuddles 🫶🏻

In an ideal world, we’d all meal prep on a Sunday, batch cook, or have the energy to cook from scratch every night. But for many of us, that’s just not reality, and that’s okay.
Some days, life is too busy to cook. You don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to eat well. A microwave meal can be quick, convenient, and still nutritious, especially if you choose ones that are high in protein and calorie-conscious. They keep you fuller for longer and give your body the fuel it needs.
Convenience is sometimes what we need, especially if it stops you from either skipping a meal or snacking. You have to do what works for you.
