Hello to all local residents, particularly those living near Ferry Lane.

On Saturday, 6th June, Stanley United Juniors will be hosting our annual Junior Football Gala, running from 8:00am through to late afternoon.

With over 40 teams attending, we are expecting increased traffic in the Ferry Lane area throughout the day. To help minimise disruption, all event parking will be directed onto the football fields, accessed via the gate near the green container.

We will also be placing cones along the roadside to discourage on-street parking and help keep Ferry Lane as clear and safe as possible for residents and visitors.

We appreciate that there will be more vehicles than usual in the area and would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of young players to enjoy a great day of football, teamwork, and community spirit.

Just a few days ago, we announced plans to launch our girls' section, and the response has been fantastic!

We're excited to announce our first girls' age-group recruitment as we continue building something special at the club. ⚽💪

Today our U7s (2025/26 season team) welcomed Castleford for a friendly fixture — the first game of this exciting new rebuild for the age group.
Although we didn't have a full squad available, every player who took to the field did a fantastic job and represented the club with pride. They faced a very strong and skilful Castleford side and showed great effort, determination, and team spirit throughout.
We're delighted to see our numbers continuing to grow in this age group. These players will move up to U8s for the 2026/27 season starting in September, and with the interest we're receiving, there's even the possibility of forming two teams.

Our club is growing in all the right ways, from our Mini Tigers right through to our U13s and U18s. The one thing we've always wanted, but never had, is a dedicated girls' section.

The good news? We already have a clear pathway in place, with our Open Age Ladies Team ready to support the future development of girls' football within the club.

We're now looking to build our girls' section from the ground up and are seeking:

Here are our U8 Tigers celebrating the end of a fantastic 2025/26 season at our club base, The Wheatsheaf.
The players, coaches, and parents have all done the club incredibly proud with their hard work, teamwork, and dedication throughout the season.
Now the excitement begins as preparations start for the U9 season this September!

Stanley 13- 1 Methley

Stanley United U12s got life as Stanley off to the perfect start in their first game ahead of next season’s Under-12 campaign with an excellent performance against Methley United.
From the first whistle, Stanley played some superb football, showing real confidence in possession and building well from the back. The ball was moved out wide effectively throughout the game, creating plenty of dangerous crosses into the box and allowing the team to control large periods of play.
There were some outstanding individual moments alongside some brilliant team goals, with Noah leading the line superbly and even grabbing a number of headers from corners. Elliott, Seb, Freddie, Stanley and Stan all got on the scoresheet, while Finn was at the heart of much of the attacking play with numerous assists and clever passes. Freddie also produced a wonderful strike that capped off a memorable evening.
Both Stanley and Stan looked a constant threat driving forward, showing great confidence on the ball and weaving through the Methley defence with some excellent attacking runs.
Despite the result, Methley United never stopped working and deserve credit for continuing to battle throughout. Their goalkeeper produced a number of fantastic saves in the second half, while the first-half keeper also made several excellent stops to keep the scoreline respectable.
A brilliant start for Stanley U12s, with plenty of encouraging signs in both their attacking football and overall teamwork .
