A new Carlton Juniors football club in Carlton

17/12/2025

It’s been some time but we will be back updating more regular in 2026

Last few weeks for Carlton Juniors 💙⚽️💙

U11s played out their final game of 2025 against Wakefield Owls losing narrowly in a really close game. The boys have done brilliantly so far this season and we look forward to what 2026 brings.

Carlton u13 ⚪️
A tough 1st half of the season for the u13s Carlton Whites whites

Playing with no subs we have managed to keep the team going which is all that matters.

The boys are heading in the right direction picking up points in recent weeks as a reward for their efforts and team spirit.

Massive thanks to our sponsors : Sam at 4G Textiles, Wes at WF3 Roofing and John at JY Installations 🙏🏻

All the boys looking forward with a fresh impetus for the 2nd half of the season.

Carlton U13 🔵 played Chapeltown in an away fixture on 30/11. A tight game contested on an excellent 3G pitch saw Carlton come away with a 2-0 win thanks to a penalty after a handball on the line and a well taken free kick.

On the 7/12 Carlton U13 🔵 travelled to Whitkirk for a league game. Whitkirk are a very strong and as expected it was a tough and competitive game. The Carlton boys stuck to the task and battled hard and we looked like we might have nicked it when we went 2-1 up with 6 minutes to go. Some good play by Whitkirk saw them equalise before a freak goal saw us go 3-2 down. The game finished 4-2 to Whitkirk in the end as the Carlton boys got caught on the counter attack chasing an equaliser. Great effort and performance by the Carlton boys who never gave up.

This Sunday Carlton U13 🔵 played Chapeltown in the return league fixture at home. A fantastic performance from start to finish saw us run out 3-1 winners. The boys created lots of chances and looked dangerous every time they went forward whilst looking composed at the back. We had a brief blip when we briefly went down to 10 men but bounced back to secure the 3 points.

Well done boys 👏⚽️🇸🇻

Tough 1st half to the season but the lads still want play which is great. A few have adventured into the big wide world and are now working on Sundays so we’ve been short on numbers a few times. However we’ve a few new lads join us recently to give a fresh look to the squad.
Looking forward to 2026 with the lads 🙌💙⚽️

Carlton juniors weekend roundup ⚽️⚽️

Under 10 ⚪️’s progress to the next round of the cup. Carlton played Middleton in hard fought game with both teams showing grit and determination. The coaches asked the boys to return to the basics of football, and they did not disappoint, with some fantastic team play, leading to some great goals. The boys all supported each other and stayed positive throughout. Onto the next round. ⚽️ 🏆

Under 12 ⚪️ made the short trip to play Wakefield Jets in what was a great game of grassroots football, Carlton took the lead early on only to go 2-1 behind, however the boys never gave up and kept pushing for the equaliser which they managed to get with just a couple of minutes remaining for a final score of 2-2. Great game played in a good spirit with both teams giving their all. Well done boys great teamwork and determination 👏🏻👏🏻

Under 12 🔵 were in cup action again away from home against Altofts. The fourth game between the two sides this season… It was a cagey start by both teams but the Carlton boys grew into it and took the lead, Altofts hit back on the stroke of halftime to make it 1-1. A strong start to the second half saw the Carlton boys take the lead and relax which led to some lovely passing moves and goals. The defence backed up the attack and looked solid throughout. A good team performance sees us through to the next round with a 4-1 win. Well done boys 👏

As the football cliche goes, this was definitely a game of two halves.

The first half was a good competitive game with the midfields of both sides working the hardest. The lads kept pushing and were finally rewarded for their efforts when we got a penalty. We slotted it home to go 1-0 up.
HSM came out fighting in the 2nd half and scored 2 quick goals early on in the 2nd half. The lads continued to compete but with only 11 players available, fatigue started to show.
HSM had the ability to make four changes every twenty minutes and bring fresh legs on in every position which made a big difference in the closing stages of the game.
The boys shouldn’t feel down as it was fatigue which got to them.
Heads up and we go again 👊👊⚽️⚽️

Weekend round up for the Carlton Juniors teams

Under 10 ⚪️. A hard fought game away at North East Leeds saw the boys taste their first defeat of the season. Some moments of good teamwork led to some well made goals, but a few lapses in concentration was our undoing. Lots to learn from and we move on to the next game.

Under 12 ⚪️. A tough first half for the boys against a good quality opposition, we didn’t seem to settle until the second half when we started to compete and show some better teamwork and passing,
Again the boys didn’t give up and scored 2 lovely worked goals in the second half and kept going until the whistle

Under 12 🔵 played against Selby in the County Cup. An uncharacteristically slow start by the Carlton boys saw them 2-0 down at halftime. A better second half performance by the Carlton boys saw them create plenty of chances and play some good football but it just wasn’t our day. defeat see us out of the cup. Well done to Selby who were ruthless with their finishing and were the better team on the day. As for us we learn from it and move forward 💪🏻🇭🇳⚽️

U16

The lads bounced back from 2 defeats with a great win over Farsley Celtic. However the lads done it the hard way! 5 mins into the game we were reduced to 10 men so had to play the remaining 75 mins with a men down. The lads love a challenge and they all worked twice as hard. Some great football and team goals which resulted in a 3-1 victory

Well done lads 👊👊⚽️⚽️

2025 round up

Well it’s been a slow start to the year due to the weather ☃️☃️❄️❄️🥶🥶

Carlton U12 🔵 3 - 2 Elland Juniors

The U12 blues were in County Cup action against Elland Juniors. A rapid start by the Carlton boys saw them score in the first couple of minutes and then race into a 3-0 lead around 20 minutes in. The pick of the goals a rasping volley into the top corner. It was a good game to watch with two teams going at each other throughout the first half. Unfortunately on the stroke of half time there was a flash point which led to a red card for each team.

With the Carlton boys being 3-0 up the game plan was to sit in and defend the lead during the second half. Elland came out strongly and despite some resolute defending by Carlton got themselves back into the game with 2 goals in 20 minutes. The last 10 minutes was nervy but the Carlton boys dug deep and put in some brilliant challenges to hold on to the win and advance to the next round. A performance that had everything. Well done boys 🇭🇳⚽️

U16s

Carlton 2-3 NEL

Tough game for our 1st game back after 4 weeks of not playing.

Fairly even game throughout the match between the 2 teams. The lads looked rusty but give them credit they kept trying to play football and all worked hard. 1-1 at ht the lads kicked on in the 2nd half to go 2-1 up. NEL put everything into the last 10 mins and finally got an equaliser direct from a free kick. We couldn’t defend a long throw in and NEL nicked a winner with 2 left to play.

Unlucky lads we go again next week

Weekend round up

U10 whites🏆🏆🏆⚽️⚽️⚽️

Under 12 ⚪️ put in a top performance against a strong Crofton side, going down to 8 players in the first half due to an injury to one of our players the team battled hard showing great determination and teamwork to earn a well deserved 2-2 draw, ⚽️🇸🇻⚽️

Carlton U12 🔵 played away at Snaith in round 3 of the County Cup. A good game to watch with both teams playing out from the back with some brilliant attacking and defensive play on show. A comfortable 4-1 win in the end for the Carlton boys who move into round 4.

U16
Thought this was going to be one of those days after the 1st 10mins or so when we should have been 2 or 3 up. From that it was abit rushed and we lacked composure on the ball.

We spoke at ht about this and to be fair the lads raised the tempo and finally got our rewards with 2 well worked goals and a clean sheet ⚽️⚽️🙏🏻🙏🏻

That’s 10 points from 12 in the league in last 4 games 👊👊

Keep it going Lads ⚽️⚽️💪💪
