Ceylon Cricket Academy is a fantastic environment for children to learn new skills, enhance their skills already there and have fun at the same time.
We run cricket camps at Easter, May Bank Holiday and throughout the Summer holidays. Director and Lead Coach – Tharindu Perera played first-class cricket with the Singhalese sports club (SSC) in Sri Lanka, under the captaincy of Mr. Marvan Atapattu and Mr. Mahela Jayawardene, former captains of the Sri Lankan national cricket team. He was also a part of the ‘elite development squad’ that consisted
of 18 of the most promising young Sri Lankan spinners in 1999. Tharindu has a wealth of experience and represented Northamptonshire 2nd XI . In early 2014, Tharindu worked for one of the leading coaching companies in Australia and delivered coaching sessions alongside former Australian National players (Mr. Terry Alderman, Mr. Merv Hughes and Mr. Nathan Bracken). Tharindu has a wealth of both playing and coaching experience's. He has worked with Yorkshire County Age groups and Women's XI. He currently works as High Performance Coach at Warwickshire CCC, has BSc Hons Sports Coaching and is one of a select group of coaches that holds ECB Level 4 Coaching Certificate. We will work on skill development and team work, Introducing match situation drills, movement drills and fitness related drills. You could be a part of Local and international cricket tours and coaching sessions attended by special guest players.
