On Day 6 of DotBooster the riders woke up in a remote field, with the sound of the adjacent stream and curious sheep inspecting their new neighbours. The sky briefly coloured pink, before the riders - fed with left over brownies and rice pudding - embraced their ultra resilience mindsets for a hike up Corn Du and Pen y Fan in the Welsh mist. Some brave souls even spiked their low resting physiology stats with a swim in the deep glacial waters of Cwm Llwch (!) while the rest of us looked on in a mix of disbelief and admiration.
After showers and a 2nd breakfast at the Manor, gave everyone a bit of glitter magic for the final day ‘wind down’ spin which involved navigating on the fly in pairs to secret (foodie) checkpoints.
A last visit to , a nice beer shared between new friends, and a final group dinner at with a glorious sunset view of the Central Brecon Beacons …and DotBooster No.4 had come to and end.
Big thanks to all the riders, but also to Julie and Russell and , for making it a very rewarding and special week. We loved all of your energies, your ‘up for it’ attitudes, your curiosity and your passion.
To quote one of this year’s riders “Thank you to everyone for such a great week. I arrived with nerves and trepidation and left with new friends, confidence, new kit ideas, more knowledge, a tummy full of the best ice cream in Wales and the acceptance that I am now going to end up with a full suspension mountain bike!”
We loved seeing how you all learned not just from us coaches, but also from each other. From picking up and passing on skills and knowledge. From seeing and doing. From sharing and caring. We look forward to following your future races and adventures and seeing you get involved in the wider DotBooster community of ongoing camaraderie, banter, knowledge exchange and mental support.

Day 5 of DotBooster was a big one. It started with checkpoints rides as prepared by the riders in the routeplanning workshop the previous day, taking in classics such as the Devil’s Elbow, Sarn Helen and Pontsticill Reservoir. It finished with a night ride to a wild camping spot and a lesson in tent pe***ng. In between, wildlife was admired and a phone lost two days ago in a remote forest was retrieved. The culinary highlights included Welsh rarebit, icecream (in a rainbow cone of course !), pizza and a German rider emerging himself in the most quintessentially Welsh tearoom experience.

DotBooster 2026 Day 4. Suspension setup, heat training, Tai Chi and a pub lunch. Everything a rest day should be.

Day 3 Photos of the day from our DotBoosters. Conditions continue to be on the damp side but that’s not dampening our riders spirits. Today was all about mental strategies, motivational techniques and lots of climbing and descending. And the food is going down a treat too 😄

Day 2 on DotBooster 2026 saw some riders for the classic road route over the Epint ranges whilst others headed off-road around a classic Brecon Gap route. Here are the photos of the day from the riders.

Well done to these three DotBooster riders and for riding and showcasing exactly why we started DotBooster:
❤️ to signpost riders to ultra races and events that match their cycling dreams, values & experience
❤️ to gain and put into action ultra skills, knowledge and confidence
❤️ to enjoy the ongoing cheering from the coaches and the active wider DotBooster community, open to all riders indefinitely
Be that by taunting each other with their breakfast pictures, sharing some banter along the way, or going out their way to dotwatch others and give them a warm hug (go .lindley74 !)
We look forward to kicking off DotBooster No.4 starting on Friday 15 May and welcoming another set of riders for this unique ultra cycling training camp experience ❤️

Another excellent ultra race we can highly recommend for being truly ‘accessible and welcoming’ to newcomers: by . Swipe left to check out why 🙌🏼
Kicking off today, the riders put their winter training to the test in the early April unpredictable weather.
The event is by no means a walk in the park as DotBooster alumni - first female finisher of Norfolk360 in 2024 - can attest.
Among the 2026 Norfolk360 riders are two DotBooster Online participants: and Craig Muller.
For Lydia, it is an early season training event that will hopefully help her overcome her nemesis of suffering in cold weather. She will implement the DotBooster gear tips and benefit from the excellent event design with the central HQ where riders can sleep, leave layers and food, and enjoy the warm camaraderie of fellow riders and volunteers.
For Craig, it is his first ever ultra event. It gives him exactly what he was looking for: an opportunity to try his hand at this ultra cycling fun in a welcoming and supportive-by-design setting.
He trained over winter with DotBooster coach to transform his sprint distance swimmer’s phenotype into an ultra endurance diesel engine and the resilient long-distance mindset to boot.
He dialled in his bike setup including the handy rack; recced some of the gravel sections in training; and carefully marked up his route with handy logistics cues and points of interest as per the DotBooster workshop. He also worked on his gut training and fuelling and hydration routines with Jas’ insight and support.
Right now, both Craig and Lydia are putting themselves to the test on the windy, flat and exposed lanes and trails of Norfolk.
But they know better than the see the wind as their enemy. They know to trust that nothing ever stays the same. To be curious as to what their body can do for them. To judge performance by how well you execute your processes, not by arbitrary binary outcome goals.
All whilst being cheered by the wider DotBooster community 🙌🏼 Go on Craig and Lydia. 🍀

Two weeks ago several DotBooster riders tested themselves with the Spring Equinox Omniloop by .cc - a cool early season ultra to put on your event list for next year !
The beauty of this 24hr time trial in the Cotswolds is that it caters very well to riders coming in with different experience levels and different aims.
Sarah challenged herself with the goal of completing 1 loop of each distance (short, medium, long). She surpassed her goal and completed her longest ride yet (239km). A brilliant achievement, even more so since building up from riding for 30-60min not that long ago !
came in with a mission to push for as many points as possible (the shorter flatter loop is 1 point, medium undulating loop is 3 points, and the long hilly loop is 9 points). The official results are not out yet, but it looks like she may have reached the top step of the virtual women’s podium to enjoy her post-ride chocolate milk on.
and showed us two very different strategies resulting in similar points: Farhad going for 2 of the big loops and a bit more sleep vs Colin ticking off a more short loops during the cold night. Farhad - you need to explain us the one lobster glove and one gloveless hand strategy!
And to forget volunteering with the smooth running of this ultra event and capturing it in pictures.
Well done all 🙌🏼
