Two fantastic days of football from both the Saturday group and the Sunday group 🤍🖤
*SATURDAY*- The girls where given a very tough opening game against a team that will be right up there at the end of the season! A very open 1st half where Athena managed to take the lead twice but where pegged back on both occasions.
The second half though seen the girls take their chances and hold strong at the same time to come away with a 4-2 win in the end 👏

Ella was player of the match after a superb hatrick and a captains performance both going forward but getting back to support the defence where needed 🏆
*SUNDAY* - Again it was a baptism of fire for what is effectively a new team on a Sunday. Weve had a short space of time to help the group connect and trust each other across the pitch. That is exactly what we got. The girls went behind early but came driving back into the game to eventually take the lead more than once. In truth, I thought they were unlucky not to hold onto the win at 3-2. But it has given the group a springboard in what needs to be worked on!

Mia with player of the match today and in truth it was an outstanding performance from a player who is very quickly becoming important to the group and how we play. Winning battles across the midfield as well as showing her capabilities wheb taking her chances in front of goal 🏆
