Three May reads 📚
Feeling v happy as I really enjoyed all of these books this month!!
1 Olive I feel like this was a very relevant read for the stage and age of life I’m at ! About a group of girl friends all at different stages of their lives and how they’re navigating that and the impact their different paths might be having on their relationships with each other
2 something a little bit different, notes on an ex*****on. I like this style of writing, where you learn each characters story in each chapter as the book progresses and then they all come together and tie up at the end. Dark in places, makes you feel mad & empathetic in equal parts
3 this book make me LOL (actually) and cry and I think that’s a sign of a good book🤣 I was super drawn in by this one and flew through it, would recommend !

Books I’ve read this year 📚☁️
My Jan–March reading list.. mini reviews & thoughts:
1. There Are Rivers in the Sky - I loved this one! The ending is quite sad, but overall it was beautifully written. I adored how all the stories tied together. It’s a big book so I kept putting it off, but I took it on a weekend away and flew through most of it. I kept thinking about it long after finishing
2. The Signs - A Christmas present from my brother. I love Dr Tara, so insightful so wise. I’d already read The Source, so this was a must & I found it fascinating ✨
3. Pick a Colour - A short one, which was needed as I was in a reading rut but because it’s a short book there were a few unanswered questions I had at the end.. as if the book wasn’t long enough for some of the themes raised to be explored
4. The List - Easy read, enjoyed it ✔️
5. The Mercies - It took me a little while to get into, but by the end I loved it. Definitely one that stayed with me afterwards
6. A Year of Marvellous Ways - it was ok, I dipped in and out and it never really drew me in completely so I felt a bit lost in what was going on in parts 😵💫
7. The Big Leap - Recommended to me twice. It’s a ‘personal development book (which I sometimes love, sometimes cba 🤭) It was ok… will I make a “big leap” now? Who knows 🤣
8. Hex - A good short read about the troubling history of witch trials in Scotland. Would recommend if you’re interested in that kinda thing
9. The Little Book of Earth Magic - Not what I expected, but still a cute little book 🌿
Have you read any of these? What should I add to my spring reading list? 📖💭
