The media centre is coming together for the Hildred's Festival of Skittles weekend...

Is Saturday morning a good time to ponder the delights of a cooked breakfast? We think so. And it's an even better way to start your day if you want to watch some top-quality skittles action at ABM Skittles Club!

This Saturday, the Pitchside Cafe at Wallingford Sports Park will be open for breakfast from 9am until 11:30am. Full English is available (with veggie and vegan options) plus bacon or sausage baps.

If you are coming down for our charity family day on Sunday, you're also in luck! With breakfast-into-lunch being served from 9am until 2pm, you've got no excuse.

We're undergoing final preparations for this weekend's skittlestravaganza! (No, that doesn't work, does it). It's the 2026 Festival of Skittles, sponsored by Hildred's Pick Your Own this weekend at the ABM Skittles Club at Wallingford Sports Park.

As the official broadcaster for the event, we're pleased to bring you some of the action from Friday and Saturday live!

Friday features an exhibition match as the Best of the West take on the Beasts from the East! Can the west country heartlands of skittles hold back the cream of Oxfordshire skittles, assisted by the country's most easterly skittles league - the Dover and District!

Saturday sees a live mega-stream as we broadcast non-stop (not always with commentary - we need to have some time to sink a pint or two) bringing you all of the group stage games that happen on the main alley. We can't bring you second-alley action, but we'll try and update you with some stats as the day goes on. Then into the late afternoon and evening we'll bring you the knockout stage games on the main alley, with quarter and semi-final action, culminating in the grand final. We've split those into separate streams so they don't get lost in the mix!

If the equipment and the commentary team lasts that long, we're going to call it a day with the streaming, but there's still another day of skittles-based fun to come! If you're in the area, come down to the Sports Park on Sunday from 11am and have a go at our range of traditional indoor and outdoor pub games and sports - just put whatever you like in the charity bucket to have a play.

All weekend there is a range of hot and cold food available from the Pitchside Cafe, and the bar is hosting a local real ale and cider festival. Of course there will also be some top-quality skittles to come and watch all day on Saturday!

Hello, skittles fans.

Please see attached for the latest league table and the broadcast schedule for next week in the Oxford City Flooring Winter League at the ABM Skittles Club, supported by James Gesner Estate Agents.

Lads' Night Out really don't look like they can be stopped from retaining their crown as league champions, even though they are not playing this week. Interestingly, neither are the Gutter Nutters - second but only by dint of a better pin-average over rookies Absolutely Skittled, who will play their game in hand this week against current relegation victims Splitz & Giggles from Fairmile Sports & Social Club, Morning Star, Cholsey. A big points haul from the drum & bass aficionados will still keep the Lads' from being crowned for at least another week... Birdies, Goals & Spares are also in action, just to pile even more pressure on the Nutters. Just one week off could easily see them plummet from 2nd to 5th!

Meanwhile, in Division 2 the Cross Keys are all but home and hosed, but the battle to see who goes up with them just keeps getting tighter! Rookies Rollin' Pins are locked in an epic battle with Spare Ribs, with Big 'Uns just behind waiting to take advantage of any big losses.

So we're pleased to bring you two nights of coverage this week, with action from both divisions.

On Monday, join us from 7:50pm UK time for Division One action as Young & Bald take on the veterans of Last Six, followed by Alsorts trying to fend off BGS who will be determined to get a fistful of points. The 'Sorts need every point they can muster, as they are in the danger zone, just 3 points above relegation!

On Tuesday, it's an all-division-two affair. Opening the card at 7:50pm UK time is Maclean Smilers v Newcomers, and then promotion hopefuls Rollin' Pins face the plucky Remnants in a crucial match for the Pins and their maiden season promotion hopes.

We'll be broadcasting in all the usual places at the usual times! We'll put live video links here and on Facebook over the next 24 hours.
