We are friendly club with a competitive edge. Players of club and intermediate level are welcome.

The club is most suited to players of club, intermediate or league standard. We are also very happy to welcome players returning to the game after a long absence - it's surprising how it all comes back!

Well done to the Wallingford Badminton Club Men's team who won their first match of the new season last night.

It was a great performance particularly for first time competitors in the club Ben, Jon and Sud who joined Nik, Anoop and Kevin and won overall 7-2 against Park Men's team.

It wasn't an easy first evening of the season but great fun together with the Park guys.

League matches for the Oxfordshire Badminton League do not start until October, so both Tuesday night and Thursday night continue to be open for members and visitors for the next few weeks. Normal visitor fees (£6) and member fees apply (depending on the evening, see email).

In October we will switch back to Tuesday nights only for the duration of the season and will share via email whenever an extra Thursday night session is possible.

Coronavirus (COVID-19): guidance 17/03/2020

Dear Club Member

As we are all fully aware the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is likely to spread further throughout the UK over the next few months, with many big events being cancelled and even smaller ones. Some schools are also closing early to try and reduce the spread of this virus.

At present Wallingford School has advised they have no plans to close the school from the Easter holidays to external hirers, so we will be continuing to run the club to the end of the season and hopefully beyond this throughout the summer, but we will remain in continual contact with them, as well as Oxfordshire Badminton League and Badminton England, and should anything change we will advise you immediately.

We would ask that you all continue to follow any guidance published from the Public Health England regarding this situation, especially with washing of hands, etc. and respect any player who does not wish to shake hands at the end of the games.

The advice from the government is to follow these main guidelines.
