On behalf of Amanda's family, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday to celebrate her incredible life and legacy. Seeing the Amanda Nicole School of Dance family come together, share stories, and celebrate the impact she had on Wallsend and beyond was incredibly moving. She would have been so proud.
For those who couldn't make it to the afternoon, we wanted to share a few pictures of her display tables and trophies, along with the memory slideshow presentation we pulled together looking back at her life and the decades of the dance school.

Please note that this page will be closing down permanently in the coming weeks as we finalise her professional affairs.
Thank you all for the decades of love, support, and dancing.
With all our thanks,

To our wonderful dance family and community,
Following the heart-breaking passing of Amanda, her family has had to make the incredibly difficult decision to officially wind up the business. The Amanda Nicole School of Dance is now permanently closed and will not be reopening.
Amanda poured her heart and soul into this school. Teaching, choreographing, and watching her students grow was her greatest joy. We want to take this opportunity to thank every single student, parent, and supporter who walked through our doors over the years. You helped make her dream a reality, and the community you built together meant the world to her.
We also want to publicly thank our incredible teaching team for their dedication and support during this difficult time.
Administrative Queries
As the school is now closed, please do not direct any business, financial, or account queries to our teaching staff, as they do not have access to the estate's records. Stephen and Simon Parr are acting as the Estate Administrators. If you have any final administrative questions, please email them directly to:

Celebration of Life
It was Amanda’s specific request that we do not hold a traditional funeral service. Instead, she wanted a true celebration of her life. We would love to invite her dance family—students past and present, parents, and friends—to come together to honour her wishes.
When: Friday 22nd May 2026 at 1:30pm
Where: High Howdon Social Club (Upstairs Lounge), Tynemouth Rd, Howdon, Wallsend NE28 0EA
Plan: Arrive from: 1:30pm for a drink, a chat, and to share memories; Celebration Service from: 2:30pm–3:00pm; Afterwards: Buffet, refreshments, and music until 5:00pm
Dress code: Amanda was all about colour and energy, so please wear something bright , happy , or simply comfortable. This is a celebration of her life, not a traditional funeral—so feel free to leave the black at home (unless that’s what you feel best in).
We’d really love to see you there, to share stories, raise a glass, and give her the vibrant send-off she deserves. In the meantime, please feel free to use this space to share your favourite photos, videos, or memories of Amanda in the comments. We are loving reading through them.
Thank you all for being such an important part of her life.

To the dance school community—parents, pupils, and staff—this is Rachel (Steve’s wife), posting on behalf of Steve and Simon (Amanda’s brothers). We’re very sorry to share that Amanda Parr passed away yesterday afternoon.
Amanda kept her health private, so many of you may not have known how unwell she had been. We’re very grateful for the care, support, and kindness shown to her through the school.
For now, the dance school is closed, and all classes are cancelled with immediate effect, until further notice, while we handle arrangements and confirm next steps.
We understand there will be lots of questions. We may not be able to reply to messages individually right now, so please keep an eye on this page—when we have confirmed information, we’ll share it here. We don’t expect to have any further updates until later next week, but we’ll share anything sooner if we’re able.
In keeping with Amanda’s wishes, there won’t be a formal funeral service, and she will have a direct cremation. We will organise a celebration of her life in the coming weeks and will share details when appropriate.
Thank you for the support you’ve shown Amanda and the school—we really appreciate your patience and understanding.
