Yesterday we took our kids team to the British Open BJJ competition — a tough day overall, but a huge step forward in experience, growth, and character.

We had some great wins, some hard losses, and plenty of lessons taken from every match. Competition days like this teach things that can’t be learned in the gym alone: handling pressure, staying composed, showing courage, and stepping back onto the mat no matter the outcome.

Proud of every single one of these young athletes for representing the team, supporting each other, and giving everything they had. The experience gained yesterday will only make us stronger moving forward. 💪🥋

We kicked things off with our Kids King of the Mat competition — congratulations to Amari and Lahaina on their wins! We’re incredibly proud of them, and also proud of every single student who stepped up, competed, and showed heart out on the mats. Win or lose, it takes courage to put yourself out there and give your best.

Our promotion ceremony was a reminder that Jiu Jitsu is about much more than belts. It’s about discipline, resilience, confidence, and learning to keep going even when things are difficult. Congratulations to all of the students who earned promotions today — they were well deserved.

And to those still working toward the next one: stay patient, stay consistent, and trust the process. Your journey matters too.

Huge congratulations to Bruno who was promoted to solid grey belt , after a break and some time away he’s back and at it once again. Congratulations Bruno.
