The lads had a weekend of tournaments this weekend and every single 1 of them played their socks off both days.
So proud of all the boys who battled and worked so well as a team and individually.
We got to a semi final yesterday where we fell just short losing 1-0 and then today we lost in the quater final on penalties to the eventual winners.
2 great days of football and hopefully 2 days were all the boys are proud of themselves 🧡🖤

The lads went to Macclesfield today to play in a pre season tournament.
All the boys put in a excellent display but unfortunately come up just short in the quater finals, losing the game by 1 goal.
We did the tournament last season and watching the boys today proved how far the lads have come in the last 12months, there was some excellent displays on show from the boys

The lads finished their season in style today, after a year of hard work we decided have a bit of fun and draw names out a hat for positions and keep rotating all game

Only the 1 game this week, i won't lie and I'll say i was worried going into the game as i didnt know how the lads would adapted in random positions against a team that have been in group A most the season, but every single player was unreal and gave everything for the team

What can i say apart from the lads all turned up today to finish the season on fire, everyone played their hearts out as some players ended up playing in 3 different positions

How could i not give him the award when he come out of goal and scored with his first shot on goal, i genuinely dont know who celebrated the goal more between Cain, the parents, the players and the managers.
The smile on his face is the whole reason we all do this

The lads did there first tournament of the summer today.
CAIN won managers player of the tournament today after a string of great saves throughout the whole day.

The lads played in their penultimate week of the season, with a 8.30 kick off and i dreaded the games as we always struggle with the early kick-offs

1st game, proved my worry all wrong as the lads all turned and had a great warm up and got into there stride straight away, we decided to play 2 strikers and have a high press which worked brilliantly, the pressing from everyone help create chance after chance for the lads.
Also their passing was the best we had saw this season, for months now we have saw in training how well we can move the ball and today they finally done it in a game and proved that we can step it up when we trust and support our team mates, the link up play for some of the goals was quality to watch.

2nd game we had a change in formation but the intensity and work rate from the whole team was brilliant. We still linked up brilliantly and was working for the lose balls as a team. We was the stronger of the 2 teams but it still took a great 1 on 1 save from cain at the death to help us get the vital result.

On a personal note i was so proud of all the boys today, they all covered different positions when they was asked to & watching theie link up play made all the weeks of passing drills in training pay off.
Also just because Rylee is pecking my head while i write this a special mention to Rylee who in his words Scored a absolute worldie freekick today 🤣

What can i say apart from the kid was on fire today, i won't lie there is times i feel like he is making me lose my last bit of hair but today proved when he is on it there isnt many better strikers out there than him at this age. He put in a complete performance, goals, assists, link up play & work rate for his team

Oskar 🏆.

Another player who had a great performance, got himself on the score sheet and the assist sheet today, his link up play today was on a different level and was always looking to advance the ball and found his team mates with numerous through balls.

Unfortunately our final event of the season come to a end today

1st game, played against a team who we had beat last time we played them but today the lads just didnt get going, no urgency on and off the ball and we didnt cope with there quick press, Cain was unreal in goal again though and kept the score to what it finished at. 2nd half was better but we all know the lads had better than what they was showing. 5-0 loss

2nd game was a friendly and the lads made a improvement on the first game as they worked harder off the ball they also improved there passing and moving and scored some great team goals, the lads have just gotta do what we see in training every week as we all know they can do it.

Another week and another MOTM, he was on fire again and was like a 1 man wall in the first half of the 1st game.

SETH 🏆.

A quiet first game but battled and worked hard in the 2nd game and got his reward with a goal again, thats 2 in 2 and he seems to be playing with confidence

The 2nd week of fixtures in the final event of the season

1st game, played against a team who we had never faced before and it was a good solid game with us holding strong at the back until the last 5mins which ment we slipped to a 2-1 loss

2nd game, against a team we have faced a few times this season. And we come out the blocks on fire, and went in at 6-0 at half time but in the 2nd half we lost our shape and got selfish on the ball which made it a scrappy 2nd half but we got the win and are into the next round.
We won 7-1

What can i say apart from the cat was on fire, the 1st game was probably the best i have saw a keeper at our age play all season, some of the saves was never possible.

NATHANIEL 🏆.

Another solid day for Nathaniel and he got his rewards in the 2nd game, always working hard for the team and battling for every ball at both end of the pitch.

2nd event of the season started today

1st game, played against a team who beat us the last time we played each other, but today we started the game strong and from the offset we was the better team and scored some great goals but unfortunately in the last few mins we stopped doing everything we had done brilliantly for the other 25mins and gifted the opposition 2 late goals and was proof that we cant allow our standards to drop and this level as team will punish you quickly. But we still come away with a decent 4-2 win

2nd game, against a very solid team that was 2 groups above us not so long ago, but we showed for a good portion of the game that we can compete against these teams and just need to keep working on doing all the basics well and quickly as teams at this level all do that so well.
Unfortunately we lost the game 2-0 (ref missed a clear goal for us)

On a personal note, i felt we held our own very well today and the lads should all be proud of how much we have moved up andtoday was proof as a team we can competeat this level quiet comfortably.

Was solid in both games today at the back, strong in the tackle and stuck to the task of following his player really well, proved when he is on it he is a solid defender

Played really well today and carries on his good form with another motm, scored some great goals today and worked his socks off for the team
