We brought another one home! 🙌

Today’s first game saw us come flying out of the blocks against the ESF champions. We usually take a little while to settle, but today we looked sharp from the very first whistle.

In the second game, we controlled the match from start to finish but just couldn’t find the back of the net.

Games three and four were quality. 👌 The football we played was brilliant, we moved the ball well, created plenty of chances, and found the net in both games. That’s the way we want to play.

Our fifth game was probably our toughest of the day. Full credit to the opposition, they were a very good side who wanted to play football.

Then came the final.

Going 1-0 down would have knocked a lot of teams, but not this group. The fight, determination, and togetherness these girls showed was absolutely different class. 👏👏

We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, the teamwork, and the willingness every single player showed to work for one another. That togetherness is what this team is all about, and today the girls got exactly what they deserved.

A massive thank you to all the parents and supporters who were there cheering the team on all day. Your support never goes unnoticed. 💜❤️

26/27 SEASON… NOT LONG NOW! ⚽️🔥

After a tremendous 25/26 campaign, the girls haven’t taken their foot off the gas this summer. ☀️💪

They’ve continued to put the hard work in, doing every extra they can, training, extra tournaments and friendlies, all to give themselves the best possible preparation for the season ahead.

After lifting the Division One title last season, our focus now turns to our final season of 9v9 football as we step up into the Premier Division.

We know the challenge will be bigger, but that’s exactly where we want to be. We’ll give it everything we’ve got and see if we can replicate last season’s success… this time in the top league. 🙌

We will take a well deserved 2 week break after this weekend’s tournament, allowing our girls to come back refreshed & ready to go before season start 👌

What an absolute credit these girls are to Burntwood Football Club. Today we challenged ourselves by playing up a year against U14 opposition…

…and they certainly didn’t disappoint! 👏

Across the whole tournament we conceded just two goals, both coming in our final game of the day. Defensively, the girls were outstanding from start to finish. 💪

The tournament was split into two competitions – Gold and Silver, with the Gold Cup being the highest level you could qualify for.

We’re incredibly proud to say these girls earned their place in the Gold Cup and competed with some fantastic teams. That alone is a brilliant achievement and shows just how far this squad has come.

Every single player gave everything, worked for each other, and represented Burntwood with pride. You should all be so proud of yourselves. ❤️🖤💜

The future is looking very bright, and we can’t wait for the new season to get underway.
