Congratulations to Georgina Grayson (Cherry Judo Club) and Jonas Vaitekunas (All Saints Judo Academy) on their fantastic results at the World Championships for Athletes with Down Syndrome this week! ๐
Georgina topped the podium with gold in the -70kg category, while Jonas earned a brilliant bronze medal in the -81kg category ๐ฅ๐ฅ
What an achievement! ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฅ

This month's National Randori session takes place next week โ Wednesday 12th August ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฅ
Join us at the British Judo National Training Centre for a high-level randori session and the chance to train alongside some of the countryโs best judoka. Expect strong rounds, great intensity, and a fantastic training environment ๐ช
Open to anyone aged 16+, 1st kyu and above, as well as all GB & EPP squad members, and all coaches!

A fantastic Festival, organised by Keidokwai Judo Club, saw women and girls from across the judo community come together at Blackpool Sports Centre to support and inspire female involvement in judo ๐

The 2026 British Adaptive and Visually Impaired Open was another brilliant edition of the event, with 87 judoka taking to the tatami at Woking Leisure Centre in Surrey last weekend ๐
It was brilliant to welcome competitors from across Great Britain, alongside a visiting group from the Netherlands, for a day of exciting competition ๐ฅ
A huge thank you to everyone who competed, the families and supporters who created such a fantastic atmosphere, and all of the volunteers who helped make the event such a success, with special thanks to the Southern Area and the Adaptive Commission for delivering another memorable competition ๐

From Glasgow 2014 to Glasgow 2026... what a journey.
After an incredible career spanning more than a decade, Olympian and three-time Commonwealth Games medallist Jemima Yeats-Brown has announced her retirement from elite judo. Her career ends in fitting style, with a bronze medal at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and a legacy of resilience, determination and excellence. ๐

We've got two incredible judoka heading to Sweden to represent Great Britain at the 2026 Judo World Championships for athletes with Down syndrome! ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ง
Coached by Bethany O'Connor, Jonas Vaitekunas (All Saints Judo Academy) and Georgina Grayson (Cherry Judo Club) will compete at the event this week.
