Final whistle for the U15 Lionesses 🏁

It’s with heavy hearts that we finally hang up our team shirts.
Life is pulling us in different directions - new teams, new sports, and the reality of exams.

But this was always about more than just the scoreline. We’ve grown up together since 2022, fought for each other, and built a bond that goes way beyond the pitch.

All good things must come to an end, but the memories (and the mud!) will last forever.

Huge thank you to the girls, coaches, parents, and everyone who supported us.

We might not be a team on the pitch anymore, but we’ll always be a family off it 💚

Seven goals. Clean sheet. Three points.

The Lionesses were on fire today, delivering a masterclass in every position.
From a rock-solid defense to a midfield that split the opposition open, it was a 10/10 performance across the board.
Defence were rock solid limiting the opposition to very few chances which they squandered each time.
Midfield defended well and pressed forward. Most goals came from their through balls.
Forwards were on point! Banging in 7, could have been many more.

Good to be back! 🙌 Tonight was all about quality on the ball. We worked hard on the “receive-touch-pass” flow, making sure we’re looking for the next move before we even make it.
The cardio was tough, but the girls handled the intensity perfectly. Really proud of the progress tonight! ⚽️✨

Evergreen Harriers vs Lionesses *Match Report*

First game back after what feels like forever, and with no training beforehand, we didn’t know what to expect… but the girls delivered 👏

Under pressure for large spells, we adapted quickly and turned it into a counter-attacking game. We soaked it up, moved the ball forward fast, and with the pace up front it caused real problems.

🏅 POTM: too close to call
Sienna stepped in at left back and was superb — strong defensively, didn’t let her player past her, and supported well going forward.
Jasmin was outstanding in goal, coming out at the right times and making every save asked of her.

👏 Special mentions to Lola for her relentless energy and Leah for a solid defensive performance.

A brilliant result and a really positive first game back. Well done girls!

🎄 Merry Christmas from Abbey Youth FC! 🎄

As the year comes to a close, we’d like to thank all our players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and supporters for an incredible season. Your commitment, passion, and community spirit are what make Abbey Youth FC so special.

We hope you all enjoy a joyful Christmas filled with happiness, rest, and time with loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year, ready for more football, fun, and success.

Really disappointed with the result today — honestly can’t believe we lost.

We dominated the game and had around 30 shots, but almost everything went straight at the keeper. On another day we’re 5–0 up by half time. Second half was the same pressure and we finally got what we deserved - the girls put together 4-5 passes on the edge of the box and bang, back of the net by Gracie. Simple football.

Jasmin made some huge saves and Gracie got the goal, so they share POTM.

Despite the ref, their manager and the sun blinding, it was a nice day.
