*GREAT PERFORMANCE*

Even though I think we still started a bit slowly, it was a solid game from everyone.

We went in at half time 3 nil up with two goals from Jake and one from Stan, but it could have been more, especially as we hit the post twice and George had a great chance to finish with a volley on his right foot. I think all the lads (and parents, and me) would have gone mental if he’d scored it. It’s coming George, you’ll get your goal soon enough, I know it!!

I think we were by far the better side and I’m sure we’ll have tougher competition to face, but we still have to play what is against us.

Shout out to Stan, Kian and Jake all getting a brace, but our Captain clinched POTM for me and the Coaches. Christopher taking the well deserved (new vote, hope you like it) Parent’s player.

*GREAT START*

The write ups are back 🙂

Knowing we’d beaten this team 5-0 just couple of weeks ago, we asked the boys not to be complacent and to start strong, fast and offensively and they did just that. 2 nil up after 5 minutes with both goals from Kian was a great start, his second goal, showing great composure and confidence to roll his foot over the ball taking the defender out and then slotting it past the keeper was brilliant! Coming off at half time 4-0 with a hatrick from Kian and a great individual goal from Jake made the half time team talk an easy one. I thought we started the second half a bit scrappy and wasn’t as impressive as we were in the first but we soon got back on the score sheet with a lovely goal from Ronnie. 3 more goals from Kian again, Stan and Tommy was no more than we deserved. We looked really good at times and perhaps could have had more.

Credit to the new lads (not so new anymore) Jacob who I thought had a solid game, Christopher who’s speed and ability will continue to grow and improve, and Jax who’s midfield control, composure and ability to pick a pass out was great to watch.

Couldn’t not give Kian the POTM with his 4 goals and overall performance, but there were a few great contenders, and Jake deservedly getting PPOTM.
