The track and field qualification standards for Beijing 2027 🇨🇳
This is the British Athletics Consideration Standard ahead of next year’s World Championships in China - offering slightly more leniency than the World Athletics Standard 📈
British athletes have a variety of paths to be considered for selection 🇬🇧
✅ Receive a Wild Card entry by World Athletics
✅ Individual medallists from the Paris 2024 Olympics and 2025 World Athletics Championships
✅ Be European champion in an individual event (provided no other qualified athlete entered from Europe in the same event)
✅ Finish as one of the top two athletes at trials in individual events (except men’s 1500m and women’s 800m), provided they have the World Athletics Entry Standard
✅ Achieve both a British Athletics Consideration Standard and a World Athletics Road to Beijing Ranked Position
*For the men’s 1500m and women’s 800m only the winner - not the top two athletes - will be automatically selected from the UK Athletics Championships, provided they have the World Athletics Entry Standard
