Streetz Ahead was founded in 2002 by Michelle Hawkes. It is now an European Gold medal winning dance school which is thriving. It has expanded to 2 locations in Essex being Waltham Abbey and Woodford. Due to the success of the Dance Academy, Michelle has also branched out to become the founder of Find Your Feet Musical Theatre School based in Woodford in 2012. Streetz Ahead offer Street Dance, Street Ballet, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Acting, singing and Performance Skills. Alongside all the practical elements of the Performing Industry, Michelle and her instructors are able to offer support, and experience as professional dancers. They have performed for and represented many establishments and corporations such as Pineapple Dance Studios, Sky Sports, and partaking in Sky 1's Show Got to Dance, where the Break dance instructor Ash-Lee and his troupe Methods of movement got to the finals. With this knowledge they are able to help their students to deal with the pressures of this industry for example dealing with auditions.
