SAME DAD. DIFFERENT PRIORITIES. 💚
This was me around 10 years ago.
I’d just become a father for the first time, and without question, it was one of the happiest times of my life. ❤️
Nothing compares to becoming a parent.
But somewhere along the way, my priorities shifted.
Life got busier. Responsibilities grew. Training took a back seat, and looking after myself wasn’t always at the top of the list.
And you know what?
I’M NOT AFRAID TO ADMIT I FELL OFF.
That’s why I can relate to so many parents out there.
I’ve been there.
But one thing I’ve learnt over the years is that looking after yourself doesn’t mean putting your family second.
You can be a great parent, work hard, have responsibilities AND still make time for yourself.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about finding that balance.
And here’s something I want you to remember…
WE ALL START SOMEWHERE.
We’re all on our own journey, facing different challenges and circumstances.
Stop comparing yourself to everyone else.
Stay in your own lane.
THE ONLY PERSON YOU NEED TO COMPETE WITH IS THE ONE STARING BACK AT YOU IN THE MIRROR.
I’m 44 now, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Not just physically, but mentally too.
And if there’s one thing I’d tell anyone who’s lost their way with fitness…
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN. 💪🏼
