We’re very sorry to share that our long-serving member Tony King sadly passed away some weeks ago.

Tony was a passionate supporter of the club and of bowls in general — never shy to share his opinions, but always with the game and the club’s best interests at heart. He’ll be remembered fondly by many for his friendship, dedication and countless years of involvement at Magdalen Park.

Tony’s funeral will be held at Putney Vale Cemetery at 10:30am on Thursday 6th November, followed by a gathering at the Labour Club in Battersea.

Alternatively there will also be a gathering at Magdalen Park afterwards for anyone who would like to raise a glass in his memory a bit closer to home.

Our thoughts are with Tony’s family and friends at this time.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear friend and long-term bowling member, Jean Stirrup.

Jean’s warm spirit, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed both on and off the green.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends during this difficult time. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and long-time member, Paul Wilds, last Friday. His warm smile, and his camaraderie on and off the greens have left indelible marks in our hearts.

Paul was not just a member; he was a cherished part of our clubs family. His enthusiasm for the game and genuine love for the community were evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His stories, laughter, and friendly banter will be dearly missed among our members.

We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to Paul's family and friends. We are grateful for the time we shared with him and for the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of kindness, dedication, and the true spirit of our beloved sport.

Rest in peace, Paul. You may have taken your final roll, but your spirit remains with us on the greens, where memories of you will always be treasured.
