Today at Badbury Rings we trialed the headsets for our TBW workout and we had so much fun!
The team were amazing - embracing the moves and music and working really hard to U2, MJ, Wham, Queen and especially fast during The Proclaimers.
There were always options to move slower or pace it up if you wanted to.
Well done everyone - you were incredible!

Sadly photos don’t really show Annes dance moves !!

Studland Walk and Swim!
Perfect morning for a walk along Studland Beach and a visit to the Beaver Hide at Little Sea where we saw leaping fish!

Followed by a delicious swim and coffee on South Beach!
How lucky are we to live here…

We had a fun Total Body Workout today around the Globe at Durlston Country Park - some balance work, steps and Paces all with stunning views and warm sunshine ☀️
Every week we add variety with the same goal of building strength, stamina and flexibility and improving balance. 💪🏼

We also include time for laughter and chat making friends and when able we get together afterwards for coffee in the cafe. ☕️
New members are warmly welcomed and we cater for a mix of abilities.

Message us if you want to find out more about WALX Total Body Walking.

It’s National Walking Month.

If you’ve been meaning to get out for a walk, this is as good a time as any to start.

At WALX, we work with people at all sorts of stages. Some are coming back after a break, some want a bit more structure, others just want to feel steadier when they walk.

There isn’t one way to do it. The important bit is finding something that works for you.

We’ll keep sharing a few ideas over the month.

On the final day of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we’re sharing a bit more about our work with Parkinson's UK

Over the years, we’ve delivered training with Parkinson’s UK, and we’re now starting a new project together.

They’ve funded five programmes where we’re training instructors and leaders to set up walking groups for people living with Parkinson’s and their carers.

These sessions are designed to be sustainable and adaptable, so they can support people at different stages and needs over time.

To learn more about staying steady and strong with Parkinson's, take a look at our live clinical webinar with Neurological Physiotherapist Beccy Oliver https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWunXsccsfQ

An animated graphic reads "WALX and Parkinson's UK partnership". Next, Gill a WALX instructor speaks about the organisation’s ongoing partnership with Parkinson’s UK. The video explains past training delivered together and introduces a new project to train instructors and leaders to run sustainable walking programmes for people living with Parkinson’s and their carers

A small step now can make a real difference later.
That’s why we’re supporting ‘Act Now, Age Better’ campaign, which encourages people in midlife to find an activity that works for them.
You do not need to do everything at once. You just need a starting point.
For many people, WALX is that starting point.
