🏉WHAT IS X LEAGUE?
X league is a modified version of rugby league.
To compete a tackle you need to touch the ball.
Other elements of the 13 a side game are also part of X league including kicking.
It is an excellent way to participate in rugby league with a limited amount of contact

🏉WHO ARE WARRINGTON WARRIORS?
The Warriors were established in 2021 by a group of players that wanted to play a variant of rugby league that replicates the 13 a side game more than touch rugby.
The club is affiliated to.the RFL.
It is a great social outlet for members.
There are regular social events /
and an annual north vs south Warrington Christmas festive challenge.

🏉WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone aged 16+ can play.
Male and Female players are welcome.
It can be an excellent introduction to rugby league and used and a pathway to full contact 13 a side.
Or it can be an exit away from full contact for anyone that prefers less contact.
It is also useful for anyone wanting to maintain fitness while training and playing in a fun environment / for anyone who cant afford to risk getting injured playing full contact but still want the realism or feel of a sport similar to
rugby league

🏉WHAT IS THE PLAYING BACKGROUND OF THE CURRENT PLAYING SQUAD?
We have a mix of players who have played open age amateur rugby league / union and some who have played academy rugby.
Others have never played full contact rugby league, just touch rugby or football

🏉DO THE WARRIORS TRAIN AND PLAY MATCHES?
We train every Wednesday 12 months of the year.
This is based at Orford Jubilee Hub.
We play fixtures during the summer months / typically once month. Although occasionally there may be more frequent games at certain times

🏉IS THERE A LEAGUE FORMAT / HOW MANY OTHER TEAMS ARE THERE?
Teams play each other on an ad hoc basis.
There is no league. Currently there are teams based in different areas of the country.
The latest team to be established is based in Widnes.
Locations of other teams are currently:
Southampton
Brighton
Oldham
Rotherham
Widnes
Oxford

🏉WHAT DOES A TYPICAL
TRAINING SESSION INVOLVE
Training involves skill based drills and games.
We make sure that everything g we do invovles fun and having a ball in hand!
It always ends with a game of X league.
At training we emphasise the rules associated with X league.
All new players are welcome to train when ert hey can. There's no pressure to attend every week!
Players can train and choose to play games whenever they can.
Training is on 4g a surface in the winter / grass in the summer
