RECOVER BETTER FROM WORKOUTS
Recovery is essential if you’re looking to optimise performance and results.
It’s very easy to get in a great workout and not doing the other things surrounding it that are necessary to achieve something incredible.
How often do you think about your recovery?
Do you actively implement recovery strategies?
Here’s some of the things we recommend to enhance your recovery to that you can keep training with great intensity and not feel run down:
- Eat enough protein
- 7-9 hours sleep a night
- Work on mobility
- Eat carbs
- Schedule rest days
- Go for walks
- Limit caffeine intake after midday
- Foam roll and massage
- Meditate
It might seem like a lot. But implementing each of these things is quite simple and doesn’t require too much effort.

MEET JAKE 💪🏻
Here’s what he has to say about his favourite things to do outside the gym 👇🏻
Outside of the gym my favourite thing to do is undoubtedly spending quality time with my partner and my 1 year old daughter Lucy. We try to do as much as possible with the time we spend together doing things like going for walks, visiting parks, visiting grandparents and relaxing together etc.
My second favourite thing to do is cooking, I love to make adventurous food and bake when I get the time. Plain boring food does not appeal to me in the slightest so I'm always trying new things in the kitchen. I do try to involve Lucy as much as I can, however, she has more interest in eating the raw ingredients... We do also love to eat out as often as we can and try new restaurants.
