🏆 COMMUNITY LEAGUE CUP FINAL CHAMPIONS 🏆

Last Thursday, we played our final match as Internazionale AFC Juniors, taking on Manchester Polonia FC in the Community League Cup Final.

The game was held at The Cliff, Manchester United’s historic Academy Training Centre a venue where many talented young players began their journey towards professional football. It was a fantastic opportunity for both teams to experience such a special setting and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We started the game brightly, creating several good chances early on but were unable to find the breakthrough. Manchester Polonia took advantage of one of their opportunities and opened the scoring.

Our response was immediate. Niko produced a moment of pure quality, smashing a sensational free-kick from around 30 yards into the top corner to level the score. An incredible goal that lifted the entire team and gave us even more belief.

From that moment on, we took control of the match. Adam G and Gabryś, who scored twice before the break, helped us establish a strong lead going into half-time.

The second half continued in the same fashion. Gabriel completed his hat-trick, followed by a superb long-range strike from Dawid. Late goals from Eryk W and Rohan completed an excellent team performance. Manchester Polonia managed to score once more but it was not enough to stop our team from securing a deserved victory.

This victory was the perfect way to end both our season and our journey as Internazionale AFC Juniors.

Following the final, we held our annual Presentation Day, giving us one last opportunity to celebrate together as a club and recognise the hard work, commitment and achievements of our players throughout the season.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and to every player who represented the club this season. Every single player has played a part in making this a memorable year.

The celebrations continued into the evening as players, parents and coaches enjoyed one final gathering together. We lit the fire pit, cooked food outdoors and spent time sharing stories, laughs and memories from another fantastic season. It was the perfect way to bring our journey to a close surrounded by the people who made the club so special.

Over the years, we have shared countless memories, celebrations, challenges, successes and lessons together. Like every club, we experienced highs and lows but we are incredibly proud of everything our players, coaches and families achieved during this journey.

Unfortunately, due to a number of circumstances, we have made the difficult decision that we can no longer continue operating as a club.

We would like to thank every player who wore our badge with pride, every parent who supported us week after week and everyone who played a part in our story.

We wish all of our players and families every success and happiness at their new clubs and in their future football journeys.

Thank you for the memories, the support and the unforgettable moments.

This is not goodbye.

⚽ Internazionale AFC Juniors U11s at Elland Road Tournament ⚽

Last Bank Holiday Monday, our U11s had the privilege of taking part in a fantastic tournament at the iconic home of Leeds United F.C., Elland Road Stadium. The event featured teams representing clubs from both the current and upcoming Premier League season, making it a truly special experience for all involved.

This tournament was a well-deserved reward for our players following an excellent season and they certainly rose to the occasion. The team produced some outstanding football throughout the group stage, winning all of their matches and progressing to the semi-finals with an impressive record.

In the semi-final, we faced a very strong opponent and competed brilliantly in a closely contested match that ended in a draw. Unfortunately, the result was decided by a penalty shootout where luck was not on our side. As we all know, penalties can be a cruel part of football but they are part of the game.

After the disappointment of the semi-final, our players showed tremendous character by returning to the pitch for the 3rd place play-off. Emotionally and physically drained, we were unable to produce our best performance and suffered our only defeat of the tournament. Nevertheless, finishing 4th overall in such a competitive event is a fantastic achievement and one that everyone associated with the club should be proud of.

A huge congratulations to every single player for their effort, attitude, teamwork and commitment throughout the day. You represented our club with pride both on and off the pitch, and we could not be prouder of you all.

⚪️🔵 Final League Game of the 2025/26 Season

Our U11s completed their final Manchester Youth Super League fixture of the season with a match against Ardwick Rangers FC.

Having faced the same opposition earlier in the campaign, this game presented a different challenge. Inter approached the match with the right attitude but it quickly became a difficult and unusual contest. Despite the circumstances, the players continued to compete and showed commitment throughout.

While the result itself was not the focus on this occasion, the game highlighted the importance of fairness and respect within grassroots football. Regardless of the situation, our players remained disciplined and represented the club with the right mindset until the final whistle.

This match brings the 2025/26 MYSL League season to a close for our U11s. We are proud of the effort, development and commitment shown by the entire squad throughout the season.

⚽ MATCH REPORT | MYSL | 12/4/26 ⚽️

⚪️🔵 A Difficult Day but Focus Remains on the Next Challenge

Our U11s returned to action after the Easter break with a MYSL fixture against SMSC Tigers.

The game started positively with Inter creating a couple of early opportunities and showing good intent going forward. However, as the match progressed it became a difficult and frustrating contest for the players with several decisions during the game affecting the overall flow and making it challenging for the team to settle and perform at their usual level.

Despite these challenges, the players continued to compete and tried to stay focused but the game gradually moved away from us. On the day, it was not a performance that reflected the team’s true standards.

It is one of those matches that we take as part of the learning process and move on from quickly, keeping our focus on improvement and the next opportunity to perform.

🔜 What’s Next

We now look ahead to next weekend’s fixture, which will be the final game before an exciting League Cup Final at the end of May, held at the Manchester United Training Academy, where we will face our familiar and friendly opponents Manchester Polonia FC.

It promises to be a special occasion for the players and the club, and something everyone is looking forward to.
