A hidden gem: Stockton Heath Tennis Club offers tennis for all ages and ability level all year round

The Club now occupies an area of some 2-3 acres with extensive woodland around the courts and Clubhouse. The two shale courts are available for play typically from April to October while the five artificial grass courts are in use throughout the year. The Mini Tennis Courts are used by the younger children and help them to learn the basic skills of tennis. There is also the use of six floodlit courts, three surfaced with artificial grass and three with porous macadam at Bridgewater High school, for which SHLTC share the use and management of these courts with the school.

🎾 Half Term Kids Camp at Stockton Heath LTC 🎾

We’re excited to let you know that our Half Term Kids Camp will be running from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October and it's open to non-members.

It’s a brilliant way for children to stay active, improve their tennis, make new friends and have plenty of fun on court during the school holidays.

Whether they’re new to tennis or already love playing, everyone is welcome. There will be lots of games, coaching and fresh air down at the club, with a wet weather plan also in place.

Camp options:
Full Day Camp: 8.45am to 4.15pm
£27.50 members
£30 non-members

Half Day Camp: 8.45am to 12pm or 1pm to 4.15pm
£16 members
£17.50 non-members

A 10% sibling discount is also available.

We’re hosting a coffee morning at Stockton Heath Lawn Tennis Club on Friday 30th October, from 10.30am to 1pm, in aid of St. Rocco's Hospice.

Everyone is welcome, including non-members, so bring a friend or pop in with a neighbour. It’s a chance to spend a relaxed morning together, meet some friendly faces and help support a charity that means a great deal to our local community.

You’ll find us on Delphfields Road, Appleton, WA4 5BY. We’d love to see you there!

Our Men’s Fourth Team went along to the Warrington and District League presentation evening at Statham Lodge Hotel last night to collect their Division 5 winners’ award! 🏆🎾

Andy Higgins, our Match Secretary, joined team captain Matt Cooper and club secretary Brian Aitchison for the evening.
We’re so proud of the whole team. They’ve represented SHLTC brilliantly this season, and it’s lovely to see their hard work recognised.

We’d love to see as many members as possible at the club this Saturday 26th September!

Please come down and join us from 1pm as we celebrate the achievements of our junior and senior tennis and pickleball award winners.

The tennis awards will be presented at 1pm, followed by the pickleball awards at 2pm, with Sue Hendry and Colin Lewis presenting.

Our usual Saturday afternoon social tennis and pickleball will still be taking place, so please take a little break from the courts and join us in the clubhouse for the presentations. Your support will help make it a really special afternoon for all our winners.

The bar will be open, with tea, coffee and cake available throughout the afternoon.

Come along, support your fellow members and help us celebrate everything they’ve achieved!

Pickleball is going from strength to strength at SHLTC, and it’s been brilliant to see so many people getting involved.

Our social sessions are always well attended, with plenty of opportunities for players of all abilities to enjoy a game. Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle before or already love playing, you’ll receive a warm welcome.

With taster sessions, friendly inductions and coaching tailored to different abilities, it’s easy to get started and quickly see why pickleball has become so popular.

The final match of our Club Championships took place last night, and what a brilliant match it was! 🎾

Congratulations to Petro Yanytskyi and Ian Tennant, who won the Men’s Doubles after a very close contest and some excellent tennis from everyone on court.

A huge well done also to our runners-up, Joe Cooper and Joe Lavender, who played their part in a fantastic final.

A great way to bring this year’s Club Championships to a close!

Tonight marks the first night of our Monday Night Winter League!

This brilliant club tradition is now in its 26th year, bringing members together for plenty of competitive tennis, friendly rivalry and enjoyable evenings on court throughout the winter months.
