I want to say this really clearly ๐ฃ
You donโt need a certain kind of body to feel sexy nor do you have to look or move in a particular way. Weโre just people in a room learning how to feel our bodies again ๐ซถ๐ผ Sometimes itโs slow and awkward, sometimes itโs magic โจJust let yourself be in your body for a minute and actually reconnect.
I hear this all the time, โthereโs nothing sexy about me doing pole.โ Wellโฆ actually? You couldnโt be more wrong ๐ฉ That feeling shows up when you stop letting society tell you whatโs โallowedโ for your body. When you let go of the misogyny weโve all been quietly soaked in for years. And donโt even get me started on the PTs preaching that sexy is something you โbuildโ by growing the right curves ๐ No.
Sexy isnโt a glute plan or trying to banish hip dips, (you canโt btw and itโs NORMAL to have them โค๏ธ) Itโs you, in your own body, feeling something real without the outside noise.
Youโve already got it, you just need to get out of your head and into your body ๐ Come and shake your hips with us. Itโs good for the soul โจ

Somewhere along the way, pole got tangled up with this idea that โrealโ progress = inverts as fast as possibleโฆIt doesnโt.
No solid instructor is rushing a beginner upside down before theyโve built grip, control, spatial awareness and confidence. Foundations matter, especially if you want longevity ๐ซถ๐ผ
There is SO much to learn in the beginner stage. If youโve never danced, never built upper body strength, never been encouraged to take up spaceโฆ of course this feels big. Youโre building strength and a relationship with your body at the same time. Enjoy the journey ๐ฅฐ Whatโs the rush?

Ever join a class and immediately think, โWhat have I signed up for?โ ๐
You look around. Everyone else moves like magic and youโre wobbling, missing beats and questioning your life choices ๐ฉ
I hate to break it to you, but youโre not going to move like a pro after 1 hour. You canโt learn years of technique in one 60 min class. Balance, flow, musicality, strength, controlโฆ theyโre layered over time. Class by class ๐ซถ๐ผ
Of course it feels hard, itโs new. Your body is building patterns it hasnโt used before. So take the simpler option, repeat the basics and remember youโre not here to move like anyone else.
