Every Sunday morning they appear,
like a secret society only summoned by junior rugby.

Armed with pints, sideline banter
and completely baffling tactical advice.

They don’t all know the rules,
but that’s never stopped them having an opinion.

Every tackle is debated,
every referee decision reviewed in real time.

Advice is shouted with confidence,
regardless of accuracy or relevance.

They stand shoulder to shoulder, rain or shine.

Same faces, same routine,
same laughs, same spot on the touchline.

And while the kids play rugby every Sunday morning,
The Dad Club turns up without fail —
for the game, the banter,
and opinions that nobody asked for….
