🏆 PRESENTATION NIGHT 2025/26🏆

On Friday 15th May 26 our winter season came to a close at Eagle Sports And Social Club with 2 team match ups and the least darts play off providing the entertainment on a lively night.

First up was the challengers trophy. Chapel House Burtonwood, who are Division 2 champions, faced Division 3 winners Hoop and Mallet A. Hoop qualified by beating Div 4 winnter Connie Crabs in a great game back in April held at Saracens Head.

Our congratulations go to Chapel House who came out 10-6 winners. Matches and scores can be found in the video round-up in the comments.

Next up came the Campion of Champions featuring Monday Dvision 1 winners for the 11th consecutive year Albion B against Friday Division 1 winners The Pirates who celebrated their 4th straight winter title.

Our congratulations to The Pirates who became overall champions with a 9.5-4.5 victory. Match ups and scores again in the video round up.

The least darts was contested between G Purdue of St Oswalds and S Shaw of Hoop & Mallet, who both achieved 8 dart legs during the season. Purdue went into the lead 1-0 which Shaw replied to make it 1-1 and going to the deciding leg. Shaw threw off and held his nerve and throw to be crowned least darts winner by 2 legs to 1.

We then moved on to the presentation of trophies for competition winners to keep, monies for league placings and the trophies for each divisional winner.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for their continued support:

Friday 24th April 2026 - 360 Landscape supplies ltd Singles.

What a night at Eagle Sports for the 360 Aggregate Singles. From the moment the first boards went live, the place was buzzing with players cheering each other on, markers keeping the pace and every group throwing up its own drama. It had everything we love about our league: quality darts, surprise results, and a crowd that makes these nights special.

P Lloyd beat P Clarke 3-2 with an 8 and 10 Darts legs, only to lose out by the same score to S Gow in the board final in the group of death that was Board 7

Some of the more fancied names fell at the group stages, with D Cowley beating G Podmore, C Stewart and A Goodier to win his group and B Jones losing 3-2 J Fisher.

With defending champion T Brown away on International Duty and P Clarke, P Lloyd, B Jones and A Goodier all out in the group stages, we saw a chance for some new faces to make thier mark on the latter stages of the competition.

Quarter Finals:

J Brammeld 0-3 R Lawrenson
B Devine 3-0 J Kneale
D Cowley 3-0 J Woods
S Gow 3-2 N Jackson

After an amazing game between J Brammeld and R Lawrenson, which saw a leg drawn in 10 darts, Lawrenson faced team mate Devine in the Semi Finals. Ben raced to a 2-0 lead with 12 and 11 Darts legs, before Rob pulled one back in an 11 of his own to 2-1. Devine though kept his cool to see the game home in a 10 dart leg to secure his place in the final.

The second Semi final saw S Gow get past D Cowley with an unanswered 3-0 victory, although the second leg was drawn and Gow won it on the reverse.

Semi Final:
R Lawrenson 1-3 B Devine
D Cowley 0-3 S Gow

Who would win the final? S Gow has been there on many occasions, with Devine also appearing as a losing finalist 2 years ago. Gow won the toss, threw off and won the 1st leg in 18. You'd be forgiven for thinking nerves may have kicked in, but Devine pulled it back to 1-1 with a 12 dart leg, hitting D10, D3, Centre to win the leg. The next 2 legs the double 10 again played its part. Devine hit it both times where Gow went just inside. 3-1 to Devine with 14 and 16 dart legs respectively.

Final
B Devine 3-1 S Gow

Our thanks go out to everyone that took part, to Eagle Sports for being great hosts and to our sponsors 360. Also thanks to those who marked the games and helped with the set up and running of the night.

Eagle Sports were the hosts for the Wire Scaffolding Monday night team knockout finals.

With some tasty quarter finals the at times boisterous large crowd had plenty to keep them entertained .

First quarter final saw the Queens Wolf take on the Rope and Anchor. With both teams well supported this wasn't going to be a tie for the nervous...
Early blows came from the Queens wolf seeing them take an early 2 nil lead. Undeterred though Rope fought back to make it 3 a piece . From then on the Queens wilted despite encouragement from their section of the crowd and Rope run away 9 3 winners...

2nd Quarter saw Crossbar meet the Hoop . Again with a vocal following for the hoop saw them move into an early lead only to find themselves 4.5 to 5.5 behind with two legs to play.....The hoop took the last 2 legs to nick it 6.5 to 5.5...

3rd quarter final saw the albion A play Tavern Thunder. Albion A took an early 2.5 to 1.5 lead. Tavern Thunder literally thundered home from there though running out 7.5 to 4.5 winners.

4th Quarter final saw multiple past winners Albion B take on the Bulls Head team . Neil Cliffe had his work cut out lifting his team to battle the Albion B lads. Albion B hit the Bulls early racing to a 5 1 lead at the end of the singles. The Bulls took a couple of the doubles but alas were defeated 9 3 . The score didn't reflect the effort and pride the Bulls head showed. A good experience though.

Semifinals threw up great games , Rope v Hoop . Both teams supporters goading the others all in good spirits. Hoop went on to ease through without too much trouble. Their supporters drinking the sweet Amber nectar if they could remember where they had put it or not spilt it....

The other semi saw the strong steady experienced Albion B take on the Thunder...
Early blows came from the albion B racing into a 4 nil lead. The next two singles legs shared 5 1 ....The Thunder regrouped for the pairs taking 3 of the next 4....making it 6 4 to Albion B. Could it be on ? One of the greatest comebacks seen for a while ? Alas not the Albion taking the required leg to see out the match.

The final saw the mighty Albion B take on the Division 3 winners Hoop . Could the Hoop carry on riding the enthusiasm from their supporters ?
It looked possible early on at one a piece. A workman like polished performance from the Albion B saw of the spirited Hoop . At 7 1 the game was beyond them .

Our champions this year for the Wire Scaffolding team ko are the Albion B.

Big shout out to those that reffed , set up and took down equipment. Eagle for hosting and Wire Scaffolding for their continued support.

Thanks Dek.
