🏆 Ladies Solheim Cup 2026 🏆

On Sunday, the Lady Captain’s team took on the Lady Vice Captain’s team in our annual Ladies Solheim Cup — and what a day it turned out to be!

After a clean sweep in the morning, with the Lady Captain’s team leading 4–0, the Lady Vice Captain’s team came roaring back in the afternoon singles. It went right down to the wire, with the result eventually decided by an incredible sudden-death play-off between LC & LVC! ⛳️

There was plenty of competitive spirit, lots of laughs and, most importantly, a fantastic day of golf enjoyed by everyone.

A huge well done to all the ladies who played — you all played your part in making it such a brilliant event.

And eventually… Team LVC took home the trophy for 2026! 🏆👏

Congratulations ladies — and thank you for making it such a fabulous, fun and memorable day! ❤️⛳️

Another brilliant match played in great spirits! 👏

A beautiful course, made particularly tricky in some very windy conditions. 🌬️

It all came down to the final match, with Leigh Player 5, Heather, bringing the away win home on the 19th hole! What a finish! 🙌

So close, but Team Leigh are through! 🎉

Well played to both teams and congratulations to Leigh! 🏆

On Saturday Leigh Golf Club was proud to host its first ever Lady President’ finals day.

After 3 qualifying rounds and a further 2 rounds of foursomes, on the day Jody Kerner and Alan Leyland took the honours.

It’s one of our favourite days of the year.

So happy Lady “prez” (Rose) enjoyed her day and we look forward to doing it all over again next year.
