WAC Club Vacancies
Hi all, after some 20 years, I have decided to take a step back from club activities and we, therefore, have a number of volunteer vacancies, as follows. I can work alongside anyone for the next few months who wishes to take on these roles to ensure a smooth transition.
1. Secretary/Membership Secretary
Committee Meetings, minutes & actions (inc. AGM & constitution as necessary)
Shared access area
Club membership – definition, renewals, finances, annual passes
Portal access for new and editing athlete entries
EA Affiliation – club and athlete, payments
Northern Athletics affiliations – payments
[email protected] Gmail monitoring and response and comms, inc. google forms (Membership, PR form, etc.)
Warrington AC Facebook comms (club messages and direct message handling)
Group waiting lists handling, processing and allocation
Contact information for emergencies and team managers
2. Event Organisation such as Walton Gardens races, Presentation Evening, AGM, etc.
We also still have vacancies for a Club Shop lead and support roles for gate duties.

Ellesmere Port Running Club held their 5km road race on Wednesday 12th August with three Warrington Athletic Club athletes running.
First to finish was under 18 Alfie Blizzard in 32nd place with a time of 16 minutes 38 seconds to place 5th under 20.
Under 16 Harry Millar was next in 149th place with a time of 18 minutes 38 seconds in his debut over the distance placing 18th under 20.
Louise Blizzard completed the squad in 261st place with a time of 21 minutes 02 seconds to place 39th woman and 2nd over 50 woman.

Trafford Athletic club held one of their open Medal Meetings on Sunday 9th August at Longford Stadium Trafford with eight Warrington Athletic club athletes taking part.
Under 20 Lewis Shaw in his first hurdles race of the season won over the 110 metres hurdles equalling his personal best time of 14.76 seconds and was 6th in his 100 metres with a time of 11.78 seconds.
Under 12 Jude Creaney won his race over 75 metres in a new personal best time of 10.88 seconds and was 4th in his 150 metres race also in a personal best of 21.84 seconds.
In the 200 metres series under 16 William Creaney was 3rd in his race with a personal best time of 26.26 seconds.
Not to be outdone, dad Leon Creaney was 6th in his 200 metres race with a time of 26.61 seconds running under Northern Masters in the over 45 age group.
In the 400 metres Lisa Halliday was 3rd in her race with a time of 62.70 seconds.
In the 800 metres series under 14 Alex Farrell was 6th in his race with a time of 2 minutes 28.36 seconds.
In her 800m race under 14 India Seymour was 4th with a time of 2 minutes 44.85 seconds.
In the 600 metres under 12 Ivy Davidson was 3rd in her race with a new personal best time of 1 minute 48.61 seconds.
In the 1500 metres series under 16 Euan Lawton was 2nd in his race with a time of 4 minutes 30.60 seconds.

Congratulations to Ashley Nemits on winning her 400 metre race at the Stratford Speed Grand Prix on Sunday 9th August with a time of 54.12 seconds.

Helsby Running Club held a track meeting at Ellesmere Port on Friday 7th August where two Warrington Athletic Club athletes took part.
Under 16 Euan Lawton made his debut over the 1 mile distance finishing in second place in his race with a time of 4 minutes 51.6 seconds.
In the 800 metres series under 14 Bella Parkinson finished 3rd in her race with a time of 2 minutes 35.8 seconds just 1 second outside her personal best.

Congratulations to Jack Pilkington on his 3rd place finish at Vale Royal Athletic Club’s annual Pie & Peas 5 mile trail race on Wednesday 5th August at Moulton Cheshire. Jack finished in 3rd place with a time of 26 minutes 49 seconds.
