Like most clubs Warsash SC relies heavily on its volunteers….

Without our volunteers we’d have no dinghy racing, no cruiser rallies, no Open meetings, no Royal Yachting Association training, no club training, no Kippers, no Thursday Pursuits, no youth sailing, no Saturday Morning Sailing, no social events, no beautifully kept gardens, no organised pounds, no Adult Sailing, no club moorings, no friendly and welcoming bar etc etc etc

On behalf of all club members I’d like to offer a massive β€œTHANK YOU” to the 328 adults who’ve volunteered for a duty over the past 12 months.

Every three months our Executive Committee choose a β€œVolunteer Of The Quarter”.

RCS Peter recently presented a very well deserved VOTQ award to Trevor (April - June) whilst Commodore Roger present Jacqui with her award (July - September) which was especially fitting as Jacqui has logged more duties than anyone else over the past year!

Thank you both πŸ™

🌊 A Big Thank You! 🌊
A huge thank you to Casey Spry from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and Caitlin from the South Coast Marine Recovery Project for joining us at the Club last night to deliver such an informative and passionate talk about marine recovery. πŸ’™

We learnt so much about the importance of community involvement in marine restoration, the fantastic work being carried out through the Solent Seascape Project, and the exciting new South Coast Marine Recovery Project, led by Caitlin. This important initiative brings together Wildlife Trusts from across the south coast, along with other key stakeholders, to work collaboratively towards protecting and restoring our precious marine environment.

The interactive Q&A was a great opportunity to get involved, ask questions and find out more about the work underway and how communities can play their part. 🐚🌿

Thank you both for sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to such an important subject, and thank you to all our members who came along to listen and support the evening.

A really interesting and thought-provoking talk, highlighting the importance of working together to give our marine wildlife and habitats a brighter future! πŸŒŠπŸ‘
