Angels Dig Deep for a Brilliant Win 💚🖤⚽️

Home action against Knowle saw two unbeaten sides go head-to-head, and it certainly lived up to expectations! 🔥

Both teams started brightly, creating chances and playing some excellent football. But it was Warwick who broke the deadlock with a magnificent strike from distance by Evie, sending the Angels into the break 1–0 ahead ⚽️💥.

Knowle came out stronger in the second half and quickly found the equaliser. With the game finely balanced and time ticking away, Warwick dug deep and found a way through once again. Calissa produced a superb strike from just outside the box, showing incredible composure to put the Angels back in front ⚽️🔥.

A game full of battles, determination and some fantastic finishing. The girls showed incredible team spirit from start to finish and you simply couldn’t fault their effort 👏💚🖤.

Angels Run Riot at Glades 🔥💚🖤

The second game of the season saw the girls return to Glades, and they couldn’t have got off to a better start!

Evie slotted home inside the first minute ⚽️, and from there the girls took complete control, quickly making it 2–0 inside 10 minutes. Despite dominating possession and creating chances, the third goal just wouldn’t come before half-time.

The second half was more of the same, with the girls playing some fantastic football and working brilliantly together 👏. Leah grabbed two quick goals to make it 4–0 before Evie completed her hat-trick and then added her fourth ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🔥.

The goals kept coming, with Leah, Erin and Izzy all adding to the tally before Ava finished the scoring after a brilliant ball through the middle, making it 10–0! 💥

And what a moment for Ava, scoring her first goal for the club! 💚🖤⚽️👏

A Winning Start to the Season 💚🖤⚽️

The girls returned to league action with a win in their first game of the season! 🙌

It was a cagey start as the girls found their feet, but as the first half went on, Warwick started to settle and create some good chances. The breakthrough finally came in the 25th minute when Evie did some great work out wide before delivering a cross for Izzy to tap home ⚽️👏

The second half didn’t start as planned as Coventry were handed an equaliser, but the response from the girls was outstanding 💪. Evie soon found the back of the net to restore the lead, before Ruby sealed the win with a composed finish.

From then on, Warwick looked like they could have added another one or two, but the game finished 3–1 ⚽️🔥

A great start to the season! There’s still plenty to work on and improve going forward, but this bunch of girls are more than up for the challenge 💚🖤

GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL IS CHANGING...

The announcements from the FA is that U7’s will play 3v3 in season 2026-27
Warwick Juniors have decided to try the new FA 3v3 format.

U7’s Players
The U7 3v3 format gives children more touches on the ball, more chances to shoot, pass, dribble and defend, and more decision-making moments, leading to faster skill development, greater confidence, and higher enjoyment — all of which support long-term participation in football.

For Clubs/teams/leagues
3v3 allows more children to play at the same time in the same space, reduces waiting time on sidelines, improves pitch efficiency, simplifies organisation, and helps retain players by creating a more fun, engaging match day experience.

U7’s PLAYERS WANTED
Warwick Juniors are starting a new U7’s team to play the new FA 3v3 format which starts in September.
Training is held on Tuesday 6.30 to 7.30 at Aylesford School.
Games are on Saturday morning starting in September.
The team will be affiliated to Coventry & Warwickshire Youth League.

Need a new adventure in your grassroots football

Are you looking for a new challenge with your teams and looking for a change of club and wanting to play on a Sunday morning?
Warwick Juniors are offering the opportunity for teams to play on a Sunday within the U12’s to U16’s age groups.
We are looking for a managers and teams to represent the club in the Coventry Warwickshire Youth League.

CWYFL offer all levels of football within their divisions, so all standards can be met for the right teams.

What we can offer!!!
1. 9 and 11 aside pitches which is maintained by groundsman.
2. Sponsorship for new kit & equipment.
3. Wednesday evening Astro turf slot.
4. Very Competitive fees to play.
5. Full support from club.
