2 ties for second place and multiple event ties!
Great turnout and as always real hard work!!

Longest programmed competition workouts to date= lots of sweaty angry faces looking over at me throughout.
Such an amazing atmosphere of cheering, celebrating and encouraging.

Mourad taking 1st place by just 1 point and Marcus holding onto 3rd by 2 points.
Really good atmosphere! Great lifting under high pressure and grit and determination to push the squat capacity to the limit ๐ฅ

Very impressed with so many people getting involved and giving it a go! Shout out to the winner Bowen! and who took to it like he's been doing it all his life! and .guile1 who shocked herself with a surprise podium finish!
Thank you to everyone for being such an amazing bunch. This community always pulls together to make events like this run amazingly and full of fun!

Super hard worker, super competitive and super encouraging. Sharna Always brings a high energy into the gym even at 5am! She always offers encouragement and tips for others to help push them as well as being able to go completely silent and in the zone to smash a high volume workout ๐ฅ always presenting the image of hard work and consistency with training when representing the gym at competitions and showing a true level of grit.
"Most proud of getting a strict pull up (not sure if I can still do one though ๐๐๐) - when I started I was adamant I would just never be able to do a pull up but three years on I did. Also my dodgy muscles ups and consistently hitting a 50kg squat sn**ch now ๐๐ผ"

"First session? How the hell am I supposed to remember that. All I remember is sharing a bar with and doing bench press. Don't remember anything else."
Laura is another one of our regular 10amers and along with, and , one of the main reasons the evening classes turn up to find no chalk left in the chalk buckets.
Favourite movements are HSPU and double unders although I'm pretty sure she secretly loves wall walks as well because she never seems to miss a wall walk session ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ.
If you ask her what her favourite workout is she'll start listing off one after the other but they all have one thing in common and that's a pair. Always enjoys a long hard pairs session. The top of the list was pairing with and destroying both of their legs for days with squat jumps and hang squat cleans.

Neil duncan first came to us for 2 guest appearances "in the now world-famous CrossFit Basepoint Boxing Day Murph Hero WOD!"
"A couple of years later I committed to training regularly and I havenโt looked back since. I am continuing to learn and progress with a heck of a lot of new skills I never thought Iโd be capable of. Being humbled/ nearly dying daily"
"Coming from more of a power-building focussed style of training I still love most things heavy. So, wall walks, gymnastics, and walking to and from the gym are among the top movements for me ๐. In all seriousness I love most things barbell and dumbbell related, and I canโt look much past the good old deadlift as a favourite lift/movement."
Favourite workouts apparently are DT or Incredible Hulk, although he is yet to miss a single Murph no matter what format or what date it falls on... I'll let you be the judge of what his favourite workout really is..
"Best achievement is most definitely the one or two times Iโve beaten in a workout ๐ช๐ โ Nah, somehow coming second in the Pairs comp last year with the big man himself (Mourad) is right up there in terms of achievements!" Along with flying almost flawlessly over the rig for a bar muscle up and now being able to do multiple in a workout with ease.
