2026 marks my 5th year of consistent resistance training, starting when I was 21.
Genetically, I was always destined to be “skinny-fat.” I didn’t look terrible, but I definitely wasn’t taking care of myself.
For the first two months in the gym, I only did cardio before I even touched a weight. Infact I was intimidated by the weights area entirely and had no idea what I was doing.
Fast-forward to 2026, and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in.
Will I ever be Mr. Olympia? No. Am I good enough to enter a local bodybuilding show? Probably not.
But am I proud of the physique I’ve built the hard way? Too right I am.
A good physique is something money can’t buy instantly. You have to make sacrifices and stay in the game long enough to earn it.
But looking back, I could’ve achieved this physique about three years sooner if I’d had the right information and a good trainer from the start.
Instead, I had to figure everything out on my own. If I hadn’t even done that, I’d probably still be on the treadmill, fustrated with seeing no results… likely quitting altogether.
