The weather has turned in the UK… time to start thinking about what we do when it’s just not practical to be outside for every session.

There’s a new blog post up! This month I’m helping you work out how long it’s going to take you to get ready for your first Ironman (or your next Ironman, if it’s been a while…)

In honour of international coffee day (which is today!!) there is a new blog post on the website all about the benefits of using caffeine as a triathlete, how to do it, and how to be smart about it. Enjoy! ☕️☕️☕️

In October, I’ll be opening sales for the Smarter Tri Training camp 2026. First refusal will go to my athletes and then the wait list, so if you want to be on that list, DM me now.
We deliberately keep this small so we can deliver an incredible experience, so spots are limited.

At this time of year, I always recommend my athletes take an end of season break… but I sometimes get a bit of push back! So, if you’re considering it but have worries, check out these real concerns that have been raised by my athletes and my response. And if you’re still worried that an end of season break would be unhelpful, drop me a DM with your concerns.

It’s that time of year when I recommend that all of my athletes take an end of season break. Being on plan continuously is both physically and mentally tough, and it’s important to take some time out. And this is how you do it…

Don’t to feel this awesome while you’re racing? If so, get yourself on my waitlist! Or talk to me about unsupported plans.

It’s been a busy weekend for Smarter Tri athletes, with completing the EPIC 100km Jurassic Coast ultra, Jude, and honorary ST athlete (we consider him ours - he came on camp!) all doing the Nottingham 70.3 and ALL scoring PBs!
We also had the Box End relays on Saturday and sprint on Sunday, with .explores finishing 3rd female in the sprint and finishing 3rd in his age group.
An awesome weekend of work! Well done everyone!
Oh, and I also raced and got hypothermia, which is why this post isn’t happening until Wednesday, rather than on the traditional medal Monday… but more on that later!
