A good win for the team today. Despite dominating the play against a dogged Abbots team for most of the first half West Herts went in a goal down after they’d switched off on a throw in at the 25minute mark. During the interval confidence was high and with a change of personnel and formation WHFC kept pushing for the equaliser. It came in the 60th minute after some excellent work put wide by captain Dylan who fired a cross in for Roscoe to finish. WHFC didn’t have long to wait for their second, mere minutes after coming on Davis finished from a ball put in by Charlie in the 69th minute. Charlie who was a constant threat finished the scoring in the 85th minute. A solid, professional display from the team. Player of the match was Angus.

After a pitch inspection today’s match has been called off due to a frozen pitch.

Due to the heavy rain the pitch has become waterlogged and today’s game against has been postponed.

A blistering start almost ended the game before it had begun. A full squad for started the game in a positive fashion and continued throughout the match. A trip over to for the team in the county cup gave them a well deserved win. Going 1-0 down after 13 mins the team seemed to take that as the shot in the arm that was needed. Winger scoring his first goal in the 18th minute from distance into the top far corner with the keeper not able to reach it. Then after a great passing move the ball played across the 18yard box to Roscoe who dropped a shoulder to make space and placed the ball perfectly into the goal in the 24th minute. continued playing neat football and their reading of New Barnets play was exceptional. The mercurial Charlie went on a run in the 37th minute and the Barnet left back could do nothing to stop him except foul him. Captain stepped up and made no mistake with the penalty. The second half saw many chances for with new signing Davis close to a debut goal. New Barnet scored a late goal in the 83rd minute with a rare shot on target. A few minutes later and a save from keeper Martin and the result was confirmed. A brilliant team performance with the new players to the team already excelling and showing what they can do. It’s back to league action next week.
