We have had a number of enquiries about our taster sessions on this, the final public open day at Cassiobury Farm and Fishery, unfortunately the stars couldn't align on this one and we are unable to attend on the 6th.
That said, they are certainly ending things with a bang and offering a fantastic day out for all ages, so don't miss your last opportunity to take in the farm, its amazing collection of animals and a lot more besides!

Hard to believe another academic year has already come to and end and was certainly a busy one.
Our Key Stage 4 students have worked with us throughout the year undertaking their CAST Skills awards as well as our NOCN courses in both Angling Skills as well as the Angling Environment courses.
We also ran three separate 10 week courses in CAST Awards for our Key Stage 3 students.
To those who are now moving on to further education, we wish you every success and look forward to seeing some returning faces and new students from September.
We are now getting ready for the summer open days at Cassiobury Farm and Fishery the first of which will be on 27th July, check out the Cassiobury Farm website for full details on dates and to purchase tickets for the open days, you can also book one of our 30 minute angling taster sessions we will be running.

Busy Easter Bank Holiday with the first of our 2025 Taster Sessions at Cassiobury Farm and Fishery. over 100 30 min sessions delivered.
We don't have a huge head of Tench on our training pond, but they all seemed keen to pay a visit to the bank to see what all the noise was about!
We do not take pictures at these events, but some have already started to arrive, so thanks for those and if you have pictures to share then please send via messenger and we will add them to this post.
Coaching team this weekend were Paul Forman, Tony Forman, Alan Colclough, Del Greening, Andrew Clarke and Roger Smith with special thanks to Maggie "Boo" Forman for helping out on the desk.

Another busy 4 weeks have passed. Our KS3 & KS4 groups are progressing really well with their courses and great fun teaching customers old and new at the coaching pond. Well done to all, few photos from the past month below.
A special thanks to our good friend, Leslie Webber Mbe for his generosity of tackle donations helping us to kit out one of our new students, Ollie. He had a slow start to his session with a few Roach and Perch, but a quick move to a sheltered corner saw him landing a number of Carp and Tench in the last hour. Safe to say he will be putting the kit to great use!
We are also getting ready for the last of the 2024 Cassiobury Farm and Fishery open days which is being held on Sunday 27th October Check out their facebook for details on tickets etc.

Summer holidays have drawn to a close, been a busy few weeks for us. 26th August saw the last of our summer tasters sessions with over 60 participants joining us. Individual bookings have also been very popular with a good mixture of returning faces and new anglers on our introduction to angling course.
The KS4 & KS3 school courses will start up again from next week, so its time to give the classroom a spring clean, check all the equipment and respool the reels etc.
To those who joined us over the summer holidays, we hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!

Great to meet up with Harper. He has caught fish using a net on the river but this was his first time on the rods. He was soo. Up and running with catches of Roach, Perch and Bream topped off with this lovely Mirror Carp. If he can achieve this in his first two hours, then his future fishing career is looking very bright indeed!

Great to see Jazz and Fallon for their first visit of 2024. As usual they slip the 2 hour session into separate 1 hour slots for each. Fallon was first up and caught a good volume of Skimmer Bream, Roach and Perch, but I couldn’t get pics as left my phone in the classroom. I collected my phone and Jazz was next up, by this time the carp had moved into the swim and he quickly worked his way though commons and Mirrors. Great to catch up and look forward to seeing them again.
