"I’d like to thank Danny for helping me progress over the past 11 weeks. I’m 44, had never been inside a gym before, and was even a bit sceptical about weight training.
In that respect, Danny’s relaxed, encouraging style was just what I needed to get started. But as I’ve gained in confidence and got more into it he’s wasted no time in upping the weights and setting goals, which is also proving effective.
Danny teaches from experience. He uses his own journey and as a result he has an authenticity that is extremely effective as a coaching tool. Our exercise of the day!
⭐The Plank ⭐
Practising the plank every day help to:
✅ Strengthen your core.
✅ Improve your balance.
✅ Increase muscle definition.
✅ Improve your posture.
To perform this exercise, lean onto your forearms, keeping your elbows directly under your shoulders.
Brace your core, lift your knees up so you are on your toes, and keep your legs together.
Make sure you are keeping your back straight, without dropping your hips too low or raising them too high.
There are many variations of this exercise! If you want to make this harder, come up onto your hands into the raised plank.
Hold the position for as long as you can... be sure to time yourself, and let us know what you got in the comments below! ⬇️
