❤️ A FINAL, MASSIVE THANK YOU ❤️

As Kurt Hobbs Day 2026 comes to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day so special.

A massive thank you to Whitworth FC for allowing us to use your facilities and for making us feel so welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to hold the day, and your support was hugely appreciated. 👏⚽

A huge thank you also to our referees Kevin Davies, Kris Lambeth and Chris Hall, who all donated their time to the day. Without people willing to give up their time and support events like this, days like Kurt’s simply wouldn’t happen. ❤️

And of course, thank you to every single person who came along, supported, played, helped, volunteered and got involved. Whether you were on the pitch, behind the scenes, helping out with the day or simply turning up and supporting — you all played your part.

But there are two people who deserve a very special mention…

❤️ Robbie Simmons & John Bowden ❤️

These two absolutely worked their arses off all day to make sure everything ran smoothly and that Kurt’s day was as special as it could possibly be.

They were there from start to finish, putting in the graft, helping wherever they were needed and never stopping.

And honestly… we need more people like these two in the world.

People who give their time, don’t ask for anything in return and simply want to make a difference. Robbie and John, your effort was seen, it was appreciated, and it genuinely meant so much. ❤️👏

🏆⚽ KURT HOBBS DAY — A MASSIVE THANK YOU! ❤️

What a fantastic day, and a huge thank you to every team involved for helping make the first Kurt Hobbs Day such a special one.

There was plenty happening on the pitch too! 👇

🔴🔵 Saxon 1–0 Ock N Dough FC
Another Nathan Pentelow goal was enough to secure the win for Saxon in their pre-season clash! ⚽🔥

That now sets up a brilliant next year’s tie — Saxon vs FC TEQ! 👀🏆

We also have to give a massive shout-out to Croyland Park Rangers, who fielded two teams on the day, with their Vets side taking on Saxon Vets.

And it was the Saxon Vets who came out on top, running out 5–0 winners! 👏⚽

A special mention has to go to Ock N Dough FC, who joined us for the first time. They were absolutely brilliant from start to finish — respectful throughout, stayed until the very end, got involved in everything and played their part in making the day what it was.

You guys will be more than welcome back next year! ❤️👏

And of course, congratulations to FC TEQ on winning the Kurt Hobbs Memorial Plate 2026, beating Croyland Park Rangers 1–0.

To FC TEQ, Croyland Park Rangers, Ock N Dough FC and everyone who took part — thank you. The football, the spirit, the respect and the support were exactly what Kurt Hobbs Day was all about.

🥰 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING VENDORS & STALLHOLDERS! 🥰

After yesterday’s fantastic day, we wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along, set up their stalls and gave up their time to be part of Kurt Hobbs Day. ❤️

You all brought something different to the day and helped create the brilliant atmosphere that made it such a memorable occasion.

🍦 A special mention to Ang’s Ices, who stepped in at the very last minute and helped us out when we were unexpectedly left without an ice cream vendor. We really appreciate you coming to our rescue — and you were absolutely brilliant! ❤️

🌈 Another huge thank you to Rainbow Faces by Elle, who also stepped in at short notice and brought so much colour, fun and smiles to the day. You were fantastic!

🎈 AJ’s Bouncy Castles — thank you, as always, for your continued support over the years. It genuinely means a lot to have you there supporting our events time and time again. ❤️

🍔 The Kentucky Cook-Out — thank you for making your second appearance at Kurt Hobbs Day! It was fantastic to have you back again and the food went down a storm!

🎤 Mr & Mrs B Entertainment — thank you for helping keep the atmosphere going and adding to the entertainment throughout the day.

🧸 And finally, an extra-special mention to 12-year-old Mia-Jane. ❤️

Mia (AKA Doris) spent all day Saturday running around helping to get everything ready, and then spent the whole of Sunday on the Teddy Tombola stall, giving up her time and working incredibly hard from start to finish.

She was absolutely brilliant, and we couldn’t be prouder of her. 🥰

To every vendor and stallholder who joined us — thank you. Your time, effort, energy and support helped make Kurt Hobbs Day the wonderful day it was.

We really hope you enjoyed being part of it as much as we enjoyed having you there. ❤️

After yesterday’s event, we’ve got a few thank-yous to make, and first up has to be all of the amazing local (and not so local!) businesses who generously donated to the day. ❤️

Whether it was prizes for our raffle, football cards or Teddy Tombola, every single donation made a real difference and helped us make the day what it was.

The support from businesses willing to give their time, products and generosity was a huge part of the final contribution raised, so we really can’t thank you all enough. 🥰

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Kurt’s Day and helping us raise money for such an important cause. ❤️

Tomorrow, Sunday 16th August, we come together for Kurt Hobbs Day at Wellingborough Whitworths Football Club — a special day to remember Kurt, celebrate his life and raise as much money as possible for the Anthony Nolan Trust. ❤️

This isn’t just about football. It’s about coming together as a community, remembering a great person and supporting an incredibly important cause.

We’ve got multiple games of football, bouncy castles, raffles, tombolas, face painting, activities, food, drinks and loads more — so bring the family, bring your mates and get yourselves down there! 🙌

💷 CASH IS THE PREFERRED PAYMENT METHOD TOMORROW, so please bring plenty of cash with you where possible. It’ll make things much easier on the day and help us maximise what we raise.

🍰 ONE LAST CALL FOR A DESSERT VENDOR!

Unfortunately, through absolutely no fault of their own, our original dessert vendor has had to pull out. 😔

So, does anyone know a dessert, ice cream, cake or sweet treat vendor who may be available tomorrow and would like to come along and support the day?

We’re incredibly proud to invite everyone to this year’s Kurt Hobbs Day at Wellingborough Whitworths Football Club.

This day is about so much more than football. It’s about bringing our community together to celebrate the life of our great friend Kurt, while raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust – a charity that gave Kurt precious extra years with his family and friends.

Whether you knew Kurt personally or not, we’d love to see you there. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring your mates – everyone is welcome!
