Euro finals what is there to say…

Very windy then very wet lol.

Day 1

Tried a new way of getting to 8.90 launching on more boost and keeping it the same for the run. 5psi launch and on the run netted us a 9.04 not bad. Each qualifier we added a little more to get through the head wind. We went 9.07 then 9.02.

Day 2
head wind was more of a tail to side so kept the tune the same 8.92 on the first run, upped the launch rpm by 100rpm and that netted us a 8.912 only good for 6th 🤣

Day 3

Head wind was back air seemed better so left it alone, poor call really and we ended back up with a 9.01.

Day 4

Rain and lots of unfortunately we didn’t get to run shame really. Pod crew worked there dam hardest, massive thanks to them for even trying 😂

In all of this had a alternator die (thanks Loz Cobb for bringing us my spare from home) then I found our battery had split (thanks Sam Mitchell for collectin a new one from Halfords)

Not a lot to update, got one run this morning no changes in the ladder for us. Was ment to be eliminations tonight but it’s now raining and they won’t get round to us.

Q5 at the Santa Pod Raceway FIA European finals. Improved again.
8.912 moved us up to 6th.
The top 12 are 8.928 or better.
The top 16 are 8.94 or better. Absolutely savage but we're right up there 💪

Thats the ticket. Literally.
8.929 means solidly in the field (Super Comp 8.90 index).
Super tight at the top with the top 10 all 8.93 or quicker and the top 17 in the 8.90's.

Day 2 at the European Finals.
Electrical gremlins rectified.
Boost added.
Stay tuned.

Slow day trying to step up on the boost.

9.04 in Q1, going up to Q2 we noticed the alternator wasn’t charging … still managed a 9.07.

Between Q2 and Q3, we diagnosed the alternator was broken.

Massive shout out to the sister in law Loz Cobb for doing an emergency delivery of the spare alternator 💜

Q3 we run a 9.02 but we figured we are just not adding enough boost however this is the fastest we have been on the lowest settings so we are making improvements.

To top the day off … the battery has split!

Another shout out to Sam Mitchell for sorting out a new one for the morning!

Round 1 of qualifying in the books at Santa Pod Raceway for the European Finals.

Made some changes. Weren't sure exactly how it would go but ran a good baseline 9.04 in Super Comp (8.90 index)

2 more qualifying sessions today.

So at greenlight nationals we gave bracket racing a go. Actually really enjoyed it. Car worked really well considering it’s turbo and manually shifted. We went at it on wastegate (3psi) and with no bumping in.

Q1 .032rt 9.46 on a 9.33 (had no clue where to start lol)
Q2 .021rt 9.46 on a 9.43
Q3 .062rt 9.43 on a 9.46
Q4 .091rt 9.48 on a 9.44

Finished 6th out of 14

E1 🤦‍♂️ -.056rt 9.48 on a 9.46

Bar the cherry it went really well. Weather made it etricky with no real data as such. But the car was with in .05 over all the runs.

We are debating double classing at national finals now 😂
